Thought he was crap last night too....

Think I will agree with you, his very first kick was a turnover, I was going to bring this thread up but thought all I would be doing all night would be posting on it. He needs a stint in the two's..

Conditions made it harder for tall forwards but credit where it's due for Batch's job on McCarthy and keeping him to just two kicks and no goals.

Very costly turnovers yet again and is too short. Did stand up in the last a couple of times though when it counted.

The dropped mark that led to the goal in the last was heart breaking

But he redeemed himself well

Did a few vital things

Key part of backline now, after rance/vlastuin/grimes ?
Then he grabbed two chopsticks and stuck them in his mouth , pretending to be a walrus

Did a good defensive job today and won a couple of critical contests in the last. The combination of him and Grimes still makes me very nervous at times. Has to start winning more than 10 posses a game as well.

I've been critical of Jake as a few others have on this sight but he was superb today. Did his best work early as well when the game was still up for grabs. Has been doing good defensive jobs all year but is starting to win more ball as well.

Was solid today. I assume he is learning off Rance but I noticed a few times he did a great job spoiling and working his opponent into unfavourable positions.

One good game, good game only, does not mean he is a star nor does it mean he's the answer in that role!!

Did that a few times today, one on with Moore and Reid. Was fantastic.
Showed that he can punch above his weight.
I think he is an integral part of our regular back 6. :thumbsup

Only 23 - so he still has some upside

in his 70 odd games some would say at least a few have been 'solid'

He might not be an answer for a long term back 6 player but at the moment he looks pretty good company to Rance, Vlastuin, Grimes. At worst he is a solider and would be excellent depth
Then he grabbed two chopsticks and stuck them in his mouth , pretending to be a walrus

Yep, let's drop him
