Jamison has copped 2 weeks even with an early plea from the MRP. Ellard has also been suspended for a week.

Blues fans says it's lucky they only have us and the Gold Coast in the first two rounds....  ::)

Geez I hope we smash those tankers!!

haha and GC soundly beats them and judd gets dominated by swallow  :pray

GC will treat their first game as a final to make a good first impression on the competition. New sides have normally had a good first game so if the Blues underestimate them then they'll get their pants pulled down.

As for Jamison missing hopefully that forced Ratten into some makeshift moves such as playing Setanta lol or the newbie Watson on Jack and forcing Waite to playing in defence without being able to run forward. Waite has killed us off a wing/HB in every game since the centenary game in 2008  :scream.

CARLTON duo Michael Jamison and David Ellard will miss the Blues' round one clash with Richmond after accepting suspensions.

Carlton fans seem to think Round 1 is a done deal, so we can live in hope of a priceless reaction on their part if we win. Realistically though, just for once it'd be nice to go home from the Round 1 game without wanting to leave my membership card there!

couldnt agree more.

yeah yeah rebuilding this rebuilding that.

Facts are a first up win against these pricks would boost the fighting fund  in big numbers and it would be nice to feel what we felt the year we smashed them in Judd's first game.

We should be going into this game full of confidence and i realistically give us a good showing as long as we can maintain Betts and that hack Scotland who thinks he is an A grader every time he plays us

I reckon Waite's the one that kills us each time, especially the past few years.

Brock McLean looks like missing round 1 as well according to today's Herald-Sun (page 83):

INJURY-plagued midfielder Brock McLean is facing an uphill climb to play in Carlton's season opener against Richmond. McLean, who was repeatedly struck down by hip, ankle and knee injuries in his first year at Visy Park, is battling to overcome ankle...

I would say it's not a big loss, but he did destroy us in round 1 last year.

One player from Carlton who poos me is Robinson or whatever his name is. That prick always gets of the leash and kicks a couple of goals. Id play Jacko on him, we cant afford to have hacks like him kicking goals against us.

Yeah that inbred looking guy. Thinks he's a tough guy as well.

I agree, stick Jacko on him.

I loath that bloke, put push ups on him. I would love to see him take a swing at push ups

Yep that will equate to one flag in 86 seasons for the Blues.

At least John Elliott got it right about them that they were a sad pathetic footy club and now they want to emulate them. :rollin :lol :rollin
