Because he is 1cm shorter and 1kg lighter than McGuane?  :lol

and Rance has been FB last 3 weeks, McGuane CHB

2cm shorter and 3cm+ shorter standing reach  8)
Mcguane is our best 1 on 1 tall defender and he plays taller than 192cm.

He also plays much lighter than a 192cm KPD should play  :shh Its embarrassing watching him unable to break tackles by midgets like Ballantyne, betts, the tip rat etc

Maxwell wears high heels

Well yes he does, but that makes him 200cm  :laugh:

Moore doesn't play FB. Read what Hardwick said. Moore is more ( :-*) of a Nick Maxwell type.

Rance, Grimes & Astbury are the way forward. McGuane is depth.

Just a footballer and a replaceable one at that.

Agree. Could be traded to GWS.
Know for a fact, at the start of the season, McGuane was classed our best tall backman. He has had a solid start to the season so i'm pretty sure he is more than depth!
For me, if Moore is to be a part of our side, he will need to add a few feathers to his cap. Could he play on a wing? or could he be that third tall forward?
McGuane, Grimes and Rance for me for the tall backs.

Moore will probably be playing by midseason. While he's a good defender our defence will be better without him. We tend to use him as a tall defender and he's usually outsized by 5-10cm and 10kg. He rarely plays fullback, but if he did we'd struggle. Being outsized like this is not what you want with one of your key defenders.

I don't agree.

The way I see it

grimes = full back.
Rance = chb.

Astbury and Moore should be the3rd back. I think I the future it's not unrealistic to have all 4 in the back 6 as a possibility.

Mcgaune chb at coburg thusty full back. Deapth player. Off one to goal coast/gws for decent picks.

Mcguane plays FB. I don't want Moore playing FB we'll get smashed

Me either.
Moore's overly enhanced reputation grows the longer he's missing.
Just a footballer and a replaceable one at that.

ya - but is he a better footballer than mcgaune?

Post is another who can play key back. Best football in U18s was chb /
roaming marking player ala polak from memory.

Moore had a solid season last year and there is definitely a future for him in our backline. I would prefer either McGuane or Moore to be the third tall. It would be great if Grimes developed into a great full back or centre half back. If Grimes is full back there is certainly room for Astbury at centre half back. If there is competition for spots eg for full back it only means that our backline will improve

if grimes fb
astbury chb

then rance will be the 3rd tall with Moore and mcgaune in no mans land.

Cannot see rance being dropped. Nor iron first grimes.
