Kayne Pettifer
« on: January 24, 2005, 04:43:27 AM »
Much maligned but do you think Terry can make something of Pettifer?

One thing Kayne can do well if not better than any of his teammates is at the kick-ins and his form towards the end of last year off the HB line wasn't too bad.

MT here is one of my old Parodies about a certain player. Unfortunately I think this parody may end up being a prophecy at the end of this season.  :rollin

T1GER BOI (To the tune of Avril Lavigne's Sk8er Boi)

He was a boy, with blonde shiny curls
Could he be anymore obvious?

kicks like a drunk, should take up ballet
What more can I say?

Been here 3 years, as if you could tell
my 3 legged dog can play just as well.

And all of my friends think he is a skirt
cause he always looks like he's allergic to dirt.

He was a Tiger boy, they said see ya later boy
he wasn't good enough for them
Always kicked out of bounds on various football grounds
He needed to reasess what he's worth.

Now he's on Drugs, His hair full of bugs
His home is a cardboard house
on the street

We turn on tv
Guess who we see
Tiger boy scalping at MCG.

Along come the cops, to take him away
They say there's that bloke who couldn't play.

He craps his pants and runs through the crowd
and they all watch as his pants turn brown.

He was a Tiger boy, they said see ya later boy
he wasn't good enough for them
Always kicked out of bounds on various football grounds
He needed to reasess what he's worth.

sorry boy but you are crap
Now head the same way as Justin Plapp

you really are such a big dud
so go off and farm the fields with Spud

too bad that you couldn't see
that tackling hard is mean't to be

someone threw a cold meat pie
And hit him right between the eyes

He thinks he's a boy, they say He's a girl
could it be anymore obvious?

Now he's in jail, haven't you heard
How he rocks all the in-mates world

He was a Tiger boy, they said see ya later boy
he wasn't good enough for them
Always kicked out of bounds on various football grounds
He needed to reasess what he's worth.

I think Pettifer may be our biggest improver MT. I also thought Plapp would be good. 8)

Kayne was an absolute star at elite U/18 level and rightly an early draft pick. He has bulked up considerably in the past 2 years, so  I'm hoping a bit of confidence and a non-confusing game plan will help bring the skills he possesses to the fore.

Just to qualify, I think Raines will take the biggest step up.

Well,  lets face it.

Pettifer has to step up with Rodan and Tivva as well.

He did pretty well in the Wizz Fizz last year, but did nothing the rest of the season.

I hope all he has needed is a good kick and given some time to own a position

I think Pettifer will be in footy's equivalent to god's waiting room next year.
I think he has had his chance to impress and now there's kids who will get a game before him iMO.
Same with Rory, i'd put in the category of filling in until next season's list culling.
Kane can look good in patches, but has never sustained any sort of form - maybe that's not his fault entirely (Spud grrr!)  I can't see much from him next year - but always luv it when they prove me wrong!

Thanks Ox for your honest appraisal. It's people like you who spur me on to greater heights and prevent me from becoming complacent! I think my next parody will be titled 'Love Story: An ode to Ox'

Youre a harsh man Ox - thought it was pretty good.

On Pettifer - the kid doesn't have it IMO.
Does anyone have half an idea on anything?

We can only hope FF. So far Pettifer's career has mimics Plapp's. Great debut and done stuff all since  :-\.  Agree with Moi about Kayne being in footy's equivalent of purgatory lol. If he can't do something under Wallace then it's ciao-time at the end of the year.

LOL tiga. You don't get some of your material from comments shouted out from the members' wing by any chance do you  ;D.
