...but after north's insipid performance against the skunks, who would want to stay there?

Damien Barret said on The Footy Show that Mitch Clark is "almost certain" to be leaving with Fremantle, Richmond and GWS the potential suitors in that order.

Also Port coach Matthew Primus was on the Footy Show last night as well and he pretty much repeated what was reported on the AFL site yesterday about Trengove and Carlisle who we are supposedly linked to us.

PORT Adelaide coach Matt Primus says he's confident defenders Jackson Trengove and Alipate Carlile will remain at the club beyond this season after making a "sales pitch" to the out-of-contract pair last week.

Trengove, 20, has put off contract talks with the Power and is weighing up a return to Victoria to be closer to his friends and family.

Carlile, 24, has also told the club he's delayed re-signing for family reasons.

It's understood both players have attracted interest from several Melbourne-based clubs, including Richmond.

Carlile has repeatedly denied links to Greater Western Sydney, and Primus said it seemed unlikely the promising full-back would be lured to the Giants.

"[GWS] is a long way from Wangaratta," Primus said on Thursday.

"They [Carlile and Trengove] both indicated it was a little bit of family reasons more so than anything else."

Is that why he can't get a trainer to come to him when he is k. oed?

Wonder if we could get both Trengrove & Carlisle?  Maybe Edwards & McGuane plus a draft pick.  Would certainly shore up the defensive stocks.

Sounds good, would make it easier for Lids to come to the center

Where do I sign? Unfortunately it is Port who rape us at the trade table

Yeh I still wish Meyer was at RFC, also 1/2 a season Schulz and broken down Rodan.  Bunch of superstars.

Yep, Nason, Thomson and Farmer > Meyer, Banner, Schulz and Rodan. ;D Schulz and Rodan are good players (or at least decent, even the most ignorant Tiger nuthugger would have to admit it) and Banner will finish up being a decent player.
