Kavanagh established first-round credentials as an under-age player last year, but his lack of exposed form this season has led to some conjecture over just where he sits in the draft rankings now.

There are two schools of thought - either he'll go early as one of the Giants' 11 first-round picks or they'll pass and he'll slide down the order a bit as clubs with only one first-round pick won't be as willing to take a risk.

We have more than one first round pick with picks 15 and 26. Do we take the risk?

We would be mad not to take him at 15 if he is there. Gun.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

Teenager Murray Newman is firming as one of West Coast's targets in the national draft...

One less club out the way before our pick 26.

Or we may take him if they wait for 28  :lol

Here's the AFL website's Draft Machine which has summaries of every possible draftee as well as running mock draft which you can do:

http://draftmachine.afl.com.au/

It has for Richmond (although we won't be using all these picks):

15. Todd Elton .......    18 y.o., 197cm, 92kg, forward/ruck
26. Jack Crisp .......... 18 y.o., 190cm, 83kg, forward
55. Lachlan Dalgleish .. 18 y.o., 184cm, 74kg, midfield
73. Louis Egger .......... 18 y.o.,    180cm, 76kg, defender
79. Tom Downie .......... 18 y.o., 203cm, 94kg, ruckman
91. Dylan Gabron-Uhe ... 18 y.o., 190cm, 76kg   , defender

I can't see us going for a KPP with our first pick, but if Elton is best available then so be it...

Docherty at 33??? Yeah right! I'd take him at 26 in a heartbeat.

We all knew it and OE the super sleuth will probably have it up in a jiffy anyway, but the draft order is finalised: http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/126171/default.aspx

Why keep blokes who aren't up to it?
