Put it this way.

Who has more respect in the football world right now, Bailey, or Neil Craig?

I still rate Craig higher than some AFL coaches.

Craig is quality. I don't think he's a premiership coach but would be value to any football club in the league under some capacity. Would be the best assistant coach you could find IMO. Would be perfect to head up some development with his sports science background.

Bailey I don't rate on any level. Wouldn't even be a good assistant IMO. Clones of Wayne Brittain and Peter Rhode.

from the ouside, it just looked like they wanted to retire a couple of senior blokes who gave their all but were ordinary kicks, so they could develop some youth.

Despite the many fiascos and implosions we've had as a club since probably the time Hafey was let go, none of them compare to the way the Melbourne Board sacked Norm Smith just 9 months after their 6th flag in 10 years and when they were still 9-3 and equal top on the ladder.

That's the main issue for me. Could someone at the Club please find a big key defender who naturally has good footskills with good technique that stands up and hits targets reliably as I'm struggling to remember the last time Richmond had one!

hAve to say this will be a massive test of Jim Stynes presidency..... forget his illness as it shoud be relevant but he just done's tacross as someone who can make tough calls on people

needs to here though

And BTW IMHO Gary Lyon needs to either put up or shut up  ;D

Exactly for far too long Lyon has sat in his cushy media role and taken the long handle to everyone else yet sits on the fence and talks fairy floss about what he can or can't do.
I don't think I can coach I don't think I can go on the board I don't think I can help the club I don't hink I can scratch my hairy bum.
You either do something about and say what needs to be done period by either mentioning the coach the players the general manager whoever rather than this non confrontational crap he dishes us and passes as hard assessment much the same way as the footy club he played for is dishing up two out of three weeks.\
Gutless.
Lyon said a few years ago abt Kennett I think it was who had a stab at him b/c he has never been involved in a flag that he still had a right to talk about certain issues despite the fact he had never been involved in a flag made no difference.
Guess what Gary it does and always will and you are a twit and a flog.

Who has more respect in the football world right now, Bailey, or Neil Craig?

Neil Craig almost took Adelaide to a Grand Final twice.

I still think Craig has been harshly treated, they nearly beat Collingwood this year, leading at 3 qtr time by 3 goals at Etihad.

Message can get stale after seven years unless you can re invent yourself and your gameplan no matter how good it's essence may be.
Treated harshly I agree but maybe it is time for Club and Craig to part ways for the benefit of both.

There was alot more pressure on Neil Craig this year to get the team to perform IMO then there was on Bailey. I think alot of people expected more out of the crows after there round 1 victory over the hawks then they have produced. So I think Craig was more of a victim of people having overly high expectations on the team.
Bailey well I don't know. They haven't came on as much as I thought they would but yeah.

Most Crow supporters had enough. Not sure why, probably felt he didn't take full advantage when they were at the top of their game 5 or 6 years ago. He also hasn't shown to be the most adaptable coach when things were going wrong.
Mind you, most accused Mick Malthouse of the same thing 4 years ago.
It's that simple Spud
