this kid is a gun and should have been drafted 3 years ago under father son. He was suspended this year for a great 70's style hard man bump against North Adelaide, check it out Tigers. Adelaide reportedly has asked for Richmond's first-round draft pick (No. 14) for ruckman Maric.

The Tigers are said to have offered their second-round draft pick (No. 37).

And the end result may be in the middle ground with Adelaide reclaiming the still unused compensation draft pick the Crows gained for losing Nathan Bock to Gold Coast last year and quickly traded to the Tigers for Richard Tambling.

But with ruckmen the prize of this trade period, Adelaide has, not surprisingly, fielded rival offers for Maric, as it also has done for Gunston.

"Ivan - and Jack - have made decisions on where they want to play but we will do the best deal for our football club," said Noble.

"If that is the club the player has chosen, fine. But there are other clubs interested in both of them, not just Hawthorn and Richmond.

"And we are clear on what we want from this trade period. It will be deals that serve the club for the next two years - not the seven days of the trade period."

Only an Adelaide paper would think our compo pick is "middle ground" 

Pick 37 is the offer. Up to the Crows to accept it. If they think they can convince Maric to go elsewhere for a higher pick then bye-bye as it's no skin off our nose. Otherwise we'll see at the PSD and Adelaide will end up with sweet stuff all just as Essendon did last year trying to pull a similar stunt over Houli.

Bit of research on Maric, his stats are solid in 2009 and 2010 when he was playing majority as #1 ruck, big drop off in form/opportunity this season.

Out of the Victorian clubs that would show any interest we have the best second round pick. They won't get a better offer for him to return home as he requested than our pick 37. Adelaide can eat a weener.
