Richmond and Adelaide are close to a deal on Ivan Maric, with the Tigers prepared to sweeten their offer of pick 37 with a player for the Crows.

The Tigers are adamant they can get him through the pre-season draft, but if Adelaide was keen on one of Dan Connors or Luke McGuane then Richmond would agree to a pick-player combination.

The clubs met yesterday with Adelaide leaning towards McGuane to seal the deal.
