It is becoming more and more evident that Maric must start as second option behind Gus.

Gus enjoys cheese toasties, by the way.

Big Ivan confirmed the No.1 ruck spot last night. Maric had the better of North's rucks. I would have Derickx No.2 in line now. More versatile and reliable than Gus. Poor Gus once again showed he isn't the answer even though he got a few hitouts last night. Half the time he's not looking at the ball and just crashes into his opponent.

Rot. Better of the North rucks? Their rucks combined got more of it than Maric (who got the same amount of ball and hitouts as Gus). Meanwhile, Graham dominated the hitouts against his man and held him to one disposal. Not to mention several crucial spoils and one effort to split a pack at the end of the game to assure us of victory. Maric confirming #1 spot with 5 touches  :lol high standards at Richmond

Dare I say we wouldn't have beaten the Hawks with any other ruck. The Bake needs a few more games to get herself ready for the real thing. She'll start behind Maric but don't rule her out.

Maric was clearly the best ruckman playing for us out of the two games. Around the ground was where he showed his class and while he didn't get the pill a huge amount, he has pace, agility, game sense and smarts that would have embarrassed Gus. Gus made too many mistakes and looked all at sea around the ground last night. He still has time but we made the right decision getting Maric, undoubtably.

Gus... A body like a man but plays like a girl.

I won't be convinced on any of our rucks until I see a kruzer like like ruckman dominating around the ground. Even Browne can tap the ball. If that's all your good for then your useless IMO.

Sorry Uncle, i think your cute but Ivan was noticibly better than Gus last night. The stats are not an accurate portrayal. Ivan's presence and effort around the stoppages is the key difference. Gus battled hard, but he was poo again last night. He had countless opportunities to take grabs, particularly in the second half, but he fluffed them all in typically hilarious fashion.

Not sure I ever saw Gus move any faster than a brisk stroll.

He messed them up because he was knackered. She will be better for the run. Mail is Beef will need another game or two before he gets conditioned to make those efforts without getting stuffed. Took a beauty of a mark earlier on.

I like a quote of yours "Gus battled hard". That's a good sign. Don't write her off after 40 minutes. There's time  :bow
