watching Adelaide vs Geelong to try and make an assessment on maric as an upgrade to graham

thoughts are as follows: moves a lot better, can get involved in passages of play without turning it over, an excellent kick, not any stronger, better leap, gets to more contests (over and above ruck work), tap work only on par with graham, ottens destroyed him

conclusion: definitely an upgrade, but will still leave us with with one of the weaker ruckmen in the competition. there's a reason Adelaide recruited Jacobs and subsequently made him their number 1 ruckman

The media have NFI on the Maric to Richmond deal. And if we trade Nason for Maric the AFC will be burnt to the ground. Time to pack up shop for them  :lol

You must really rate Maric!  :lol

I'd be happy with that deal. They are both fringe players at poor clubs, but Maric had stiffer competition in front of him (Jacobs). Magawnicles is a bloody liability with ball in hand.
