Does anyone know where the TV schedule is?

It looks like we have 11 FTA games - 1 Thursday Night, 2 Friday Nights, 4 Saturday Nights, 4 Sunday Arvos leading into the news.

We actually have 12 games on FTA this season as apposed to 6 last year! Punters would have to be happy with that??

Talk about a draw of halves. There's a chance we could be 0-5 or even 0-6 if we lose to Port at Footy Park  :P. If we get to round 9 and are 4-5 we will have done very well with the draw easier from then onwards. I can see now why RFCO said it isn't a horror draw. Just a horror first month.

Pros:
* Only one home game at Etihad (thankfully not against a Etihad tenant) and 9 at the 'G  :thumbsup.
* The season from round 10 onwards opens up for us so it's case of hanging in there until then.
* Only play Geel, Coll, Haw once and avoid a trip to Perth to play the Eagles.
* A major upset against the Pies could be a great birthday present  :pray

Cons:
* Hello first five or six rounds  :P. Season defining then and then.
* 6 weeks in the middle of the season we disappear from home and from FTA TV
* Two 6 days breaks after travelling interstate  ::)
* Playing Geelong at Kardinia Park again  ::)

Collingwood faces one of the toughest assignments in next year’s AFL fixture, playing two matches against the four other clubs that made up the league’s top five in 2011.

As the league expands to an 18-team competition with the inclusion of the Greater Western Sydney Giants, clubs will play only five other teams twice during their 22 games of the home-and-away competition.

Along with facing five trips interstate – including a clash against West Coast at Patersons Stadium in the penultimate round – the Magpies also clash with Essendon twice.

GWS’s debut season will see the expansion club play at 12 different venues next year, including home games at ANZ Stadium, Canberra’s Manuka Oval, the new Skoda Stadium at Homebush Bay and a one-off game at Blacktown against the West Coast Eagles.

Remarkably, the Giants will also feature in the first home-and-away game at Hobart’s Blundstone Arena (Bellerive Oval), taking on North Melbourne in round two. That means GWS will feature in the three venues to host AFL matches for the first time next season: Hobart, Skoda Stadium and the boutique 10,000-capacity venue at Blacktown.

Five clubs – North Melbourne, Melbourne, Gold Coast Suns, Adelaide and the Sydney Swans – will have the bonus of playing the expansion club on two occasions in 2012.

The Kangaroos appear to be one of the big winners after the AFL’s fixture release as they are one of only two clubs – along with Adelaide – to play both the Giants and the Suns twice next season.

North Melbourne, which finished ninth and thus avoided too many games against finals teams, also plays two games against the Western Bulldogs, fourth-placed West Coast and finalist Essendon.

In contrast, Richmond and the Bulldogs clash with GWS and Gold Coast only one time.

The Sydney Swans are the only finalist to clash with the Giants twice due to the AFL requirement that two derbies are played in NSW, Queensland, Western Australia and South Australia each season.
