Jenkins was one of the players Essendon thought they could trade to GC as part of a Caddy trade. So perhaps the Bombers have given up.

Trade Week Radio tweeted Essendon could try picks 19 + 31 to get Caddy. I don't think so.

to get caddy we would have to give a quality player and we dont have any to spare, or our first rnd pick and the compo pick, neither of which, they dont seem to want to give up.

Suns say they wanted a top 10 pick for Caddy and Essendon couldn't deliver on that.

We were blocked out....

Caddy was desperate to get back to Melbourne to be closer to his sick father, yet he was seen as off limits to other Victorian clubs.

Clubs including Richmond and Melbourne tried to get involved in deals for Caddy at times this week but were told only Essendon was to be involved.

Why did the Bombers bring in AFL mediators to sit at the table with them to try and work out a deal.
Did the bombers feel GC wasn't being fair with not accepting there first offer? or is it the norm to have AFL mediators to help trades get done I never heard of it happening before(it probably happens alot for all I know though).

Probably only ever get 1 per year max.

Also thinks its a joke Caddy says his dad is sick and then they have to deal with Essendon. LMAO his dad cant be that sick. Word is GC accepted Melbournes offer and Caddy said no  ::)

Something stunk here right from the get go.  Reckon its the Mark Thompson influence.  The ill father bit just a smokescreen with other clubs forced out.  Must have not wanted to come home too bad.

Surely they could just trade Slattery or Dyson for a couple of top ten picks.  :wallywink

They're mature bodies, just what every team needs!!  :lol
