Which means your $300k figure is an irrelevant factor as it's largely imaginary money assuming every member would instead buy a cap or scarf for $15, which aint happening.
Sorry you've confused me with your comment about members buying "cap or scarf for $15"... I am not sure what you mean? And yes some days it doesn't take much to confuse me
Are you talking about the members cap & scarf? Because no one has to buy those
The options this year are you can take a members cap or scarf or a $15 Store voucher.
Last year they had the same options as this year but with the added option of donating the value back to the footy dept.
We don't know what that value per member was last year. So all I was suggesting as a starting point you could use the value of the store vch to do a round calculation based on 20k members (less than 1/2 of our total members) deciding to "donate" rather than taking the cap, scarf or Vch
Alternatively if you want to say the caps or scarfs cost the club $5 each then you could apply the same theory 20k members give up $5 ea = $100k
Whatever the value it just seems strange they've taken that option away for the 2012 m'ship campaign when they are trying to raise $$$ for the FTF
