Unfortunately every year the AFL calculates our membership tally differently to how we do it. So we safely deduct about 5000 from the total and that will be the official AFL number.

Its ridiculous bc i believe our membership revenue is higher than the hawks even though we only had 40k official members last season compared to their 55k or whatever it was. It may look like nit picking but sponsors take into consideration very seriously the number of members they can reach - 55k membership base sounds a lot better than 40k. We need to do something about eliminating this non ticketed membership, ive said it for yrs its costing us $$ in the overall scheme of things

Can someone give me a rundown of why they take the members away? They are still a stuffeen membership that has been paid for..

Something to do with match day and non match day IIRC.

LOL so they take away non match day memberships but they count 3 game and pet memberships. Har har har

Yes, our membership revenue was higher than hawthorns.. That's because the dawks memberships are ridiculously under priced..

The AFL don't count pet memberships in the total neither does the RFC

I believe the 3 game membership is counted as it gives you access (entry) into games

What the AFL doens't count is things like non match day junior memberships - eg "Cotchy's Cubs"

I don't care what the AFL number is. IMHO the Club's number is the one that counts because the Club recognises all of its members in its number.

It doesn't matter what the category a member is a member .. end of story in my book
