My membership package arrived today in the post so I've only had to wait 3 weeks since I re-joined up. All ready now for round 1  :thumbsup.

So do people think we'll get 50k? I have my doubts.
We always have a rush before round 1 so there's still plenty to supporters to re-sign. This time last year (31/01/2011) we had 28,082 signed up so we are currently 2000 ahead. If that holds as it has over the past month or two since 2012 memberships were released then we should reach 50k.

Almost every Bummer I've ran into reckons they're destined for top 4  :rollin

They are use to the easy ride aren't they!

I reckon they could be the next Richmond in terms of having long stints mid-table, with the odd season thrown the bottom. Have a list which will see them finish around about 8th, but they are years off being top 4, and with other teams who have more comprehensivly rebuilt, plenty will go past them.  :yep
Bomber fans have been talking top 4 for the past 5 years  :wallywink. While their midfield is as slow as treacle they've got no chance.

Membership target on track

richmondfc.com.au 3:44 PM Tue 31 Jan, 2012

Richmond has reached the 30,000 member mark on its way to a target of 50,000 in 2012.

The current tally is more than 2000 above the same time last year, and it’s the first time in the Club’s history the 30,000 figure has been reached before the end of January.

The Club has seen significant growth in reserved seats, Maurice Rioli Club and 3121 memberships......

AND

Only 40 spots remain in the 3121 membership category, so if you would like to hear more about this membership package, call Ash Aidone direct on 9426 4442.

Very positive news as that means a significant increase in membership revenue which is the main thing in terms of helping the Club boost resources all round.

The stragglers are still yet to sign on. I'm getting mine next week and I think my old man said he was going to get his at the NAB cup. I reckon a whole heap will jump on before round 1. Like WAT said, get a few good preseason wins in and we'll crack 50k this season easily.

Perhaps but there was a big rush before Xmas when the club contacted a lot of members to expedite their re-signing re reserved seating, 3121 etc. so could have inflated numbers to this point.

We'll see I guess.

I believe it was capped at 1000 if my memory serves me correctly reading the letter from the RFC when my pack arrived.
