Was there that day and there were a few more than normal but not 10k IMHO

And you should know better than believing what the media says 

If they get 3-4k+ plus to a pre-season family day they are doing well

We got 48k last year so we should be getting around 53,000 if we have 5k new members and all of last seasons members return!

That's not going to happen

All clubs lose members, the churn rate on renewals are very high across the AFL with the Tigers actually having one of the lower %
