whoa, we're pulling away from thr Blues now :shh
And closing in on the Dons  :thumbsup. Only 1600 behind them now after trailing by about 7000 a month ago.

Given the capacity constraints of both Docklands and Footy Park, at the rate we are going we should be able to jump above both Essendon and Adelaide in the next couple of weeks.

Ive been a bit sick tonight and I was listening to SEN when one of the presenters said a hawthorn official was on some show and he was all bitter and twisted because hawthorn are not a big 4 club. Anyone see this. I think this is great. Hawthorn are pretenders from what I know full of low value memberships of little financial consequence.

Didn't see it but good to know  ;D

Would be interesting to compare average home crowds (excluding sold interstate games) between the big 4 and the Hawks.

I would think SEN were talking about AFL 360 on Fox where they were talking to the president (not Kennett) & Hodge. The President was saying they see themselves as one of the "Big 4" even if the media doesn't. He based this on their crowds, membership numbers and balance sheet. Have to say he certainly didn't sound bitter & twisted was very balanced in how he presented his argument.. but the media are good at creating stories when there isn't one  ;D

You have to remove the finals figures otherwise it's not apples for apples.  And to be honest, it;s not really a good comparison anyway, when some teams play 'boutique' interstate games to small (but near capacity) crowds as part of the AFL bigger picture.  Hawthorn play a number of games at Launceston and we played at Darwin and Cairns, while Collingwood, Essendon and Carlton between them played 1 game at Carrara (Collingwood).

should only be based on home and aways,  an accurate stat needs to be based on constants ...some playing finals and others not isnt what you call relative ::)

Yes.
I laughed.

They are using it as ammunition to win a flag I feel like the skunks do with their US Against Them garbage.

Borrowed it from Swoopa but Pies seem to borrow anything from Richmond.

Essendon seem to have fallen into a heap. They were way out infront of us a while back and Tomorrow or Monday/Tuesday next week at the latest we will have clawed above them in membership numbers. As I said elsewhere The Tiger Army is on the march!

A big win on Saturday will help boost the numbers but the main game is still round 1 vs the Scum.

Win that and memberships will soar.
