We're over 3000 ahead of this time last year's tally. Effectively a month's worth ahead (last year we reached 45k at the end of April).

The only big thing left of our club is the supporter base. Thats it. Those who are responsible for our plight are nothing but pretenders. I doubt most of them give a poo anyway and as for our membership, lets hope they sold afew tonight because if we are 0-5 we wont be selling many in the weeks ahead.

Another missed opportunity to get the bandwagon going and really boost our membership well over 50k. The media this morning are predictably running with the same old Richmond failing on the big stage headlines. Some of our supporters who may have finally hopped on as a member will probably think the same  .

if we want to play on the big stage, if we want to play finals if we want to improve as a club you must learn to deal with pressure. If the media hypes it up so be it. We have to learn to be able to play with pride regardless of where we are on the ladder. Facts are we a big club once probably the biggest that's why when anyone walks through the door they should know it, feel it & breath it. The bar should be raised every year. We must WANT to be the biggest & the best. Let's not settle for mediocrity any longer.

I am disappointed with last nights result but philosophical.
Just sit back and think for a second which was worse the day after our round 1 game in 2009 or the today.
The team is much better off.
Sure the media sold their papers and will sell them over the next month with us in the headlines but in all honesty all last night did was show how far off development wise we are from top 4 or 5 and the gap between the top 4 or 5 and the rest of the comp.

I still think Melbourne and West Coast at Etihad will still be wins and 2wins from the first 5 is not all doom and gloom after our horror draw.

We were right in it last night until we got blown away right at the end. Whilst not a great performance it really wasnt that bad.

Agree - it's funny but in light of the fact that we didn't play great (actually at times we were very average TBBH) to know that we were able to stick with them until those last 20 minutes is a positive

We were what? 30 odd points down in the middle of the 3rd and came back to be down by 2 goals at the final change

10 minutes into the final qtr we were within a goal and had the momentum but a couple of bad errors and the blues got a soft goal and they were away. We lost that game in the last 20 mins (7 goals to 1 usually means that will be the outcome  ) and it shows that we still have long way to go but isn't all doom and gloom, it was the reality check we needed (some more than others)

Last night will certainly impact on m'ship sales but in that they will stop but in that they will slow

I still think we will hit 50K it just wont happen before Easter but I honestly believe it will happen before the June 30 cut off
