You feel sorry for our membership team.  They're always killing it pre season only for their efforts to be halted by a steam train that is a round 1 pummelling at the hands of the Blues.

And having to make the replacement cards for all the ones that were binned, snapped in half or microwaved. Week leading up to Round 2 is a busy one even if we dont sell any new memberships.

Roughly this time last year (04/04/2011) we were 42,736 and had lost round 1 to Carlton. We still reached about 48k. We are now 3500-4000 ahead of last year so as WP said we should get to 50k by the June cut-off.

  clearly double. They certainly count as 2

Yep and that included a 71 point loss to the reigning premiers and a 63 point loss to the Hawks.

It's so easy to get caught up in the hype and think we will beat sides we shouldn't and then jump

of the bandwagon when we don't.

With a similar type of difficult draw this year most fans are pragmatic.

52-53 is still achievable.
