When did it become so popular to start questioning this guy.

Yes he has his deficiencies, but I would have thought a guy who made the AA top 40 as a 21 year old and still averaged 25 touches this year as a 22 year old, who lives and breathes for the club and (IMO) has a huge ceiling of potential still to achieve wouldn't be questioned as to best 22 material.

I know for a fact opposition put a lot of effort into countering/stopping him.

I think everyone knows clubs put effort into stopping this guy, just look at the EF. But is that necessarily a good thing? Look at Ablett, Fyfe, Danger and probably some others. All they mostly get is head to head match ups because coaches know if you send a tagger to them they'll still rack up 20+ touches while you're tagger does diddly squat. Ellis though? He gets tagged and he goes into hiding, clubs know it and that's why they bother doing it.

Also, I don't expect every body to be as good as those players listed but it'd be nice if we had at least one who was "untagable"

Its just an annoying GenY trait to expect a young player to be an instant champion.  If he doesn't win a Brownlow/Coleman/Premiership/B&F in his first year then the highly inarticulate sledge of 'his a dud' isn't far behind.  So many people fail to realize how much harder the AFL is compared to just one league down.  State leagues, TAC & VFL leagues are miles behind the standard required in the AFL & it takes the very best young players years to make the transition.
If every 22yo player we have at the club was as good in his role as B Ellis is right now we would be in a very very good place!     ;D

No, its just that spell-checkers don't question the word "his" when they really meant to write he's ... as in 'he is' ... but who's got time for an apostrophe these days?  Blame our shonky education system too.  (If I sound like an old guy it's because I am one!  50+   :P  )
After GenY comes GenZ, then comes ... err?  It's a commentary on how close we are to the end ....   :snidegrin

You arent reading peoples posts it seems. Aspects of this guys game have come under heavy scrutiny on this sire on a continual basis. Even the bloke who keeps us under control has been highly critical.

I will say it as nice as i can. I DONT THINK I HAVE SEEN ANY TIGER PLAYER SHIRK CONTESTS MORE THAN THIS BLOKE.And this is a team with the likes of Grigg Vickery Houli and soon to be Yarran.  in it. I could name a few others as well but wont. The worst of them all is little Branden what a softie.

This.

His lack of chasing and playing behind his man waiting for the easy out the back goal, kills the team, as it rarely works out for him.

And yet within club circles he's considered about the hardest working/running player on our list.

Go figure?
