He was a massive Kangaroos fan IIRC. Honestly couldnt care if he gets the nod or not, to see a young player at 18 years of age step right into AFL footy and have a defensive impact on the game is absolutely outstanding.

Interesting. If you were to say best first year 18 year old player taken in the main draft last year, maybe. What are the other options? Greene? Coniglio?

Has noticeably gone up a notch or 2 the last 2 weeks, looking more settled and comfy out there, and looks to have gained a yard of pace also, thought initially he was slow, but he's pretty quick!

good call MT. He's really been fantastic in his first year. Really exceeded all expectations I had. Would love to see him use the ball by foot alot more though but i'm sure that'll come when he gains more confidence.

He was packing for Freo and we swooped in the pick before.

Worried about him a little. Sure he finds the ball but he so often turns it over or puts people under pressure because he fumbles and seems scared. Patience for him because his played 10 games, but something he needs to work on

Are you talking about ellis, the kid has hands like a steel trap and barely wastes a possie and could land a ball on a 5c piece....sounds like you were describing tambling....Ellis is doing very nicely , wrapt with the draft selection
