what particular gimmick are you referring to, please explain ::)

it's no gimmick, what kind of joke is it when there's a poll suggesting mods ban a 30 yr member for being too bullish about his clubs fortunes :shh

Spot on! This man is a 30 year member and we all know the length/membership type is the most important thing about a supporter. Bow down and kiss this legends feet after you're done apologising.

Ramps, I am disappointed
30 years comes with commitment, loyalty, perseverence, endurance and sacrifice...all qualities that would be compltelty foreign to you, it's little suprise you would prefer to ridicule in a crass attempt to diminish to your own pathetic level :shh

Sounds like marriage  :shh

Given you have been there for the worst of it BJ, where do you see that we went wrong over those years?
Who isn't a fan of the thinking man's orange Tim Fleming?

But you see, it's not me, it's not my family.
In your head, in your head they are fighting,
With their tanks and their bombs,
And their bombs and their guns.
In your head, in your head, they are crying...

good quest BR, I could go on but as they say in the classics it starts at the top and I dont believe this club has been well lead for quite some time relative to its peers. I have some confidence in the current board and admin and direction we are heading,  prior to that the club was beset by poor management and from there we made constantly poor decisions that encumbered the club both on and off the field. Thats it in a nutshell, look at the successful Vic clubs that have enjoyed halcyon eras and its no coincidence that their off field leadership has been notable, read ESS, HAW, GEE and in more recent years COLL. Hopefully we have taken decent stride in the right direction :pray...there are alot of signs (realtive to other Vic clubs) to suggest we are, cheers

So you are a Gary March fan, or do you think he has run his race?

I am struggling to find the purpose of this thread. I don't mind BJ at all as a poster on OER. This forum used to be about a wide variety of opinions that came from a wide variety of people. Now it seems to be dominated by a few who seem to stick together and post more to each other than the wider OER community. Leave that sort of stuff to Facebook. I know i will cop some flack over this, but i like the good ole days of Daniel, Jack, Brackets, Al, Tigermonk, Ramps/ Flags etc. all disagreeing yet being respectful of eac other.
