I watch games and I don't trust the administration of them anymore, they are like scripted for an outcome and the umpires appear determined to unravel us early.  All the going in hard crap that people say Freo were doing, we did early on and were penalised for, when Freo did it, they were rewarded for fouls.  When we dominated in the forward 50 at the end of the game, we couldn't buy a free despite the many infringements but he plucks one out of his behind for Freo as soon as it even looks vaguely viable to kill the game for us.  It stuffing stinks and it makes our players second guess and hesitate and it is a tactic used against us in several games where the powers that be have chalked us down to fail because the other mob are tracking poorly on memberships and are crap clubs, ie Freo, St.kilda (where we beat them anyway).  Hold onto your hats fellas, because they have probably set us up as GWS scalp.

I've never blamed the umpires for a loss but in the Freo game they were terrible to the point of seeing one sided. The Saints game was bad too. I'm not about to put tin foil around my head just quite yet but I certainly hear you owl!

So if we can knock off the Giants this week, and other results go according to plan (West Coast and Adelaide win) we move ahead of Freo on % and onto equal points and equal 8th with St. Kilda and Carlton.
And you may not think I care for you

Fair point about the giants, ive tipped em too

stuffed around with that ladder calculator again, have us with 12 wins, 10 losses and 106.7% thats a great effort it was also ninth place
I was hard on us but you need to be realistic not optimistic when setting these things up

final ladder was:

collingwood 18 wins 124%
hawthorn    17
west coast  16
adelaide      16
sydney        15
carlton        14
essendon   13
geelong      12 107.6

richmond     12 106.7%
st kilda        11
fremantle    11
nought        10 96.7 (dream run and still stuff it up)

hawthorn and collingwood grand final

As you can see imo we can still make finals but it depends on how we beat teams?? do we just beat em or get runs on the board?? diff between making it and not may be less than 1% tragic I know

fwiw the tigers losses imo if we miss out are these: north 12 pts, blues 30 pts, freo 12 pts, essendon 12 pts
Another point I want to make is in rd 22 we play essendon if we lose by 12 pts they finish 7th, cats finish 8th.
If we win by 12 pts we finish 7th essendon finish 8th and cats get knocked out  ;D its as tight as that!!
The anywhere, anytime Tigers.

if we lost to either Nought or buldogs il consider this year as a minimal upgrade to last year.

Those 2 wins are a non negotiable and a loss to either will officially end our year and we might as well tank with kids than finish 9th.

If we cant make finals then we need to get games into Elton, Astbury etc etc

Ok we need seven more wins to make the eight.

Win-able games are in red

12. GWS Skoda Stadium Away Sat June 16   Win  :rollin
13. Bye
14. Adelaide AAMI Stadium Away Sat June 30
15. Melbourne MCG Away Sat July 7
16. Gold Coast Cazalys Stadium Home Sat July 14
17. North Melb MCG Home Sun July 22
18. Carlton MCG Away Sat July 28 7.40pm
19. Brisbane 'Gabba Away Sat Aug 4 7.40pm
20. Bulldogs MCG Home Sun Aug 12 3.15pm
21. Fremantle Patersons Stadium Away Sat Aug 18
22. Essendon MCG Home Fri Aug 24 7.50pm
23. Port Adelaide MCG Home

That's six games so we need to win one of Adelaide, Carlton, Freo and Essendon.

Hmmmm.

I think we need to win 1 of Adel, Carl or Freo.

Then its all up to the Essendon game as a Final itself. Most likely will be if Richmond win they can play finals and make the 8 with a win over Port the following week. If Essendon win they get a home final, maybe even top 4.

Enormous game. 90k+.
Go Tigers!

Yep, especially if we fancy ourselves as finalists.

The team works in blocks of 4. So they'll be looking at being at least 3-1 from the next 4 (Adel, Melb, GC, North) and 3-1 from the 4 after that (Carl, Bris, Dogs, Freo). That would leave us breaking at least even across the Essendon and Port games to secure a finals spot (13 wins). 12 wins could sneak us in but we would need to flog a few bottom sides along the way to pump up our percentage.

After the last couple of weeks where our intensity and goalkicking accuracy fell away badly, we really can't look any further than the Adelaide game and rediscovering the mojo we had as a team against Hawthorn and St Kilda.

The big question.... Can we win those games we "should" win?

A big loss to Adelaide might just smash us mentally and the wheels could fall off.
Or we may go great against Adelaide and lose the unloseable against the kangas or dogs.
As tiger supporters would we be suprised if this happened?

Confidence, belief & want are keys to where we end up. We need every player on board and playing their role. No passengers allowed.

Personally i'm not expecting finals at all this year. So if it doesn't happen it's not the end of the world.
But I have one last wish this year.....

.... To smash carlscum round 18 right out of the finals race. If this happens this year is a positive one.

Tiges will be fresh as after the bye..

Crows only get a 5 day break.

Dunno if it will work in our favour though.
