that comment show what an illiterate simpleton you are, i never said we were great, just not as bad as some want to make out.

our biggest problem in recent times has been not taking the opportunities we have created, not a lack of creating opportunities.

this lack of scorboard pressure keeps the opposition in the hunt rather than burying and demoralising them.

besides that our we performing pretty much as a you would expect from a middle of the road side.

Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

Al we are performing like a bottom six side ATM. Melbourne's game plan was more methodical than ours and they could have won but their skills let them down. At times there were holes everywhere today but Demon players couldn't extract or exact disposals at crucial times. You had to be there to see it.

I didn't say we were great either. Just said there's no point bitching over us when we've won with ease after making 7 changes to the side. Anyone that is bitching deserves a 12 inch shoved down their throat.

Our kicking for goal was ass but we've got the 4 points and I'll take that. Mr Tigra should shove his bible up his ass and learn a thing or two about football clubs.

We played like poo today because we let melbourne bring us down to their level. Should have buried them in the 2nd quarter.
We also played with probably our worst line-up all year, nearly a third of the side were VFL players, so that would explain alot of overunning the ball/turnovers/fumbles. But thats no excuse.
The shots on goal were a disgrace, and hardwick would have been ripping his hair out. No positives apart from getting the four points. We were at our worst for year for the most of today. Shocking football in perfect conditions. I'm finding it hard to pick the best 3 players. Tuck then .... ?
The polish on our disposals has been missing since the fremantle game. We need to resurrect it STAT.
Well done to mcguane, alot of haters out there (me being one) and he did what he had to do today, Probably more than what most expected. No heart in mouth stuff mainly due to his switch to the fwd line.
With no jackson, will Cotch going head to head with ablett next week?

actually you could pick get an indication that melbourne let us off at times with poor disposal watching on the box, and that it was a scrappy game.

I just find it strange that the essendon lovers want to bemoan a win over a side that beat the bummers.

considering where we are at overall, the 7 changes, which is nearly a third of our side and missing two of our best inside midfielders, as well as the bullcrap that went down during the week, like davey i'm happy to take the win.

i do find our goal conversion rate extremely frustrating and concerning, though, as that will haunt us.

We just need to weather the storm this fortnight with star players absent, our performance in front of goal was symptomatic of our season...and against quality opposition has proved costly....plenty of positives...lets roll on to next week

It's then they will start with personal insults when they can't back up their opinion which is contrary to what is reality.

when you respond by making up dribble that was never said or even alluded you open yourself open to comments about being illeterate and a simplton.

sure you do get a different perspective from watching a game on TV to watching it live, the main ones being live you can see how the game pans out away from the ball, on the TV you see a lot of the inside work that players do ( or dont do) that is easily missed sitting 100m away from the ball.

you were also the one who tried to make out that because we didnt go the game our viewpoint was irrelevant.

perhaps you could inform the club that the countless hours they spend watching replays is pointless because the only real perpective you get is from watching a game live at the ground getting wrapped up in the emotion of the crowd.

....and you wonder why you get called names like muppet

don't have to inform the club. They actually watch games live.  :shh
unlike yourself i'm sure the club and the team will be bitterly disappointed in the way they played today.
And that's how it should be.  :thumbsup

hahahah performing like a middle of the road side, Al says

No worries. That may have been true earlier in the year after the Hawthorn game.

tell me einstein we didnt have 7 changes against Freo or GWS and what happened there. Thats right we played rubbish.

Todays game was a continuation of our last month. Very very average.

The club knows it, coach knows it and supporters know it.

Descent clubs bury teams and we dont. We have never had the ability for the last 20 years to do it. Why?

Not good enough, yet

The only positive i found today was that it was Melbourne who we played or we wouldve been smashed.
