Don't think he ever had knee problems before

This patella issue was caused by the dislocation, which was a freak accident]

Had plenty of soft tissue injuries and his most recent one can be chalked down to that too

Has the last half of this year to convince me he is over his injuries.
Undoubtably talented and at his best would be a real weapon.

Alas I think his body is shot.......
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

Ill tell you why ... because some people at Punt Road have to pretend that they have worked hard so we end up with crocks like hampson and knights and average players like grigg and thomas and petterd etc etc etc.

He can improve us marginally from being a 11th-14th side and help us get into the bottom half of the top 8.

Thats the ceiling. We are filled with players like this. Our goals is to make finals and make up the numbers with a list filled with OK players. There is no direction beyond that goal because it can't be achieved with a side full of B Graders.

as stated before i like knights as a player, real footy smarts good skills can kick a goal and when hes actually had a decent run with injuries hes played some darn good footy.
the risk was his injury history you had to ask can he stay healthy. to me in taking him there was little risk he was either going to struggle with injuries again or he was going to play some good footy. he was a high reward low risk option imo.
to me hes a better player by some margin than gordon a similar type. id have him every day of week in front of shedwards or banfield.

the club now has a tough decision to make and again ask itself,  at age 28 can he stay healthy and make a decent contribution to the seniors. if there is too much doubt about this he should be delisted.

I agree claw another one of your glass half full/empty types that alas will probably make very few inroads for us over his time here due to his injuries.

Chris Knights, who suffered a setback in the VFL with his comeback from a knee injury, is scheduled to make his return with Maric against Box Hill in round seven of the VFL on May 17.

He's an old, injury prone waste of a spot who should retire.

Was a gun for one season 5 years ago, just like Foley was for two seasons 6 years ago. Both need to do the right thing by the club and pack it in.
