you dont think getting picked up by Sydney 1st, then playing in the 2's all year and getting a call up because of injury to someone else isnt lucky..  On the context as being a premiership player?

Mitchy wouldn't play round 1 if fit. Not best 22. His medal is a nice story for the Mortons. That's about it.

Lucky to get picked up? No, not really. He won a Michael Roach Medal. Who got injured which led to his call up? He played rounds 21 & 22 as the sub while Ben McGlynn was in the side. They both played in the Qualifying Final and Morton played a much better game than what McGlynn produced. McGlynn was then injured for the Prelim and Granny. But if you reckon Morton would have been dropped after the QF where he had 5 tackles, 14 touches and a few goals then that's fine ;D

He wasn't lucky. He killed it in the reserves (pretty average comp but you can only play who you're up against) and worked his arse off when he got his chance at the top level. He earned his premiership medallion with some important goals.

Has Mitch had a kick this pre-season?

Hasnt' played Coach, Caro's article says he has a back injury and he isn't expecting to back until round 5

Word is that he will go out on a high and won't play again in the top grade

We definitely made the right call, medal or otherwise.
2015.

:) Swans are very good at picking up good value players, players they can "SWANNIFY" with their team ethic and work rate. Sure they make some mistakes and maybe Mitch is a lucky break for them, Look at how they picked up one S Maxfield, wasn't good enough at RFC and gee he was lucky. I think it is about their team ethic and culture which is what impresses new and recycled players, maybe we need to look along those lines BUT I think we seem to have picked up the ball and are running with it. When we play consistently with as much guts and determination as Sydney and at times arguably as North, then we will win those tight games and carry a strength and impetus with us for the whole year and hopefully beyond.

Why? Angus Graham is the only former player to have his thread moved and that's because certain people are racist and sexist.

All players who finished/finishing their careers at another club should be moved
