Seems alright but I thought we were in the market for another mid? Unless this kid is a genuine gun. Makes O'Hanlon kind of redundant though. At least we're at the stage where we're not requiring our first pick to run straight on from round 1. Just wish the draft would hurry up, pretty over this trade junk.

one of stringer, vlastuin, mccrae, orourke, or wines may get to us at 9  but only one if we are lucky.

bloody hell if a club is looking for a mid who can dominate as a forward why would you go past stringer.ive read both menzel and now garner being linked to us but surely you would take stringer over both in a heart beat.

No to Vlastuin, don't need backman that just kick and prey
you are kidding right. have you seen him play. hes dual sided and a very good kick if not exceptional on both feet. just keeps on getting contested bal;l and using it with great skills and very good decision making.
super super consistent player and i cant see him going past 9.

Would be happy with Stringer if McCrae were gone. I cooled on him at first because of a few knocks on his technique but in that article recently from Hartley (I think it was him) said things like that can be taught. Reckon we'll miss out on both by a pick or two though, always seems the way. Thinking Vlastuin or Wines may slip as far as us. My three at this stage and in order of preference would be McCrae, Stringer, Vlastuin.

Wines will go at 4.

Apparently he was told at draft camp that he won't go past pick 9.

Not from what I've seen. Look I reckon it's something he could improve but just seems to bomb them more often than not.

gws have a plethora of young mids they lack kpds and a quality ruckman.
looking at them i reckon they will go.
1/ whitfield. best available though id take stringer here.
2/ grundy. best big man available and a top 3 pick anyway.
3/ plowman/clurey. reckon one of these blokes has been earmarked here they have a great need for a kpd and neither will be available when their next pick comes around.

4/ toumpas to melb.
5/ stringer to wb. they have two picks if there is a risk and i dont buy into it that there is they can afford to take him here.  most talented player in the draft id cut my right arm off to get him.
6/ one of  mcrae, wines, mayes, orourke, i lean towards mayes here. wb
7/ wines to p/a
8/ mcrae to brisbane.
9/ for me vlastuin or orourke. rich. depending on what p/a and brisbane do one of wines/mcrae/orouke/vlastuin should be available imo.
10/ daniher.

Wines is set to head to Melbourne
O'Rourke is set to head to WBD.  Lions will probably take a KPP.
