The top 4 from 2012 (Syd, Haw, Coll, Crows) will all only play bottom 4 (GWS, GC, Melb, WB) once in 2013, except 2x Swans/GWS meetings.
The 10 non-finalists from 2012 will all be scheduled to have a maximum of two return meetings with top eight sides from 2012.
Where possible, the eight finalists from 2012 will all be programmed to have a max. of two return meetings with bottom-10 sides from 2012.
Four Thursday games in 2013 with Rd 1, 2xAnzac Day (Coll/Ess and StK/Syd in NZ) and a Rd 14 night game in Perth.
Two Monday night games in 2013 with Rd7 in Melb and Rd 10 in Perth on the holiday Monday in WA.
AFL now has broad parameters of 2013 fixture done; has begun detailed consultation with broadcasters, clubs, venues, other key stakeholders.
Fixture to be finished by end of October.
