yippee it works...ta tiga..I am now a professional move critic..lol
No probs G. As a fellow Movie buff, I personally enjoy your reviews.  :thumbsup You already saved my 20 bucks with Samsara.  :lol
Oh I used to go to the Classic at Elsternwick regularly as a Kid. I remember seeing "James Bond: For your eyes only" there when I was a little tacker. Ahh the old all white facade with the big bold vertical black and white Neon. I guess its changed a bit since then.

HI tiga..the classic has just had a makeover .They have added a 6th cinema and remodelled the foyer.I must admit I miss the open spaces it used to have.Loved nothing more than wondering out of the cinema and straight into the cafe next door for a cup of coffee and chat with friends.
And the other thing that peees me off is that these days i cant find parking. On sat night i parked 2 streets away and when i got back to the car some dropkick had parked that close up my backside I swear a piece of paper would separate his front from my rear. After more manouvering than the Lunar module i was able to pull out.I had to get out and make sure the guy behind hadnt left any marks on my car i was that concerned .
and Ta for your kind words

I'm like al and get most of my movies via the big "T".

Just watched a movie called "End of Watch". Absolutely brilliant!! Its about two cops (Jake Gyllenhaal & Michael Pena) in south Central LA who personally film their day to day operations on a digital camera.
I won't say any more as it could spoil the film for those of you who haven't seen it. Certainly a refreshing deviation from your regular cop drama's. There is lots of violence and coarse language but it is in context.

My Wife who is usually into chick flicks was not impressed when I put it on, but after the first few minutes surprisingly she was hooked in by it and raved about it afterwards.

I give it 5 Bill Collins out of 5

watched this yesterday and agree it is a good film, i only gave it 4 Bills though, but i mark harshly

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

Saw a preview copy of Django Unchained in 32 inch Samsungvision.

I thought it was Tarantino's best film to date. It is a nice blend of the topics and themes that he has dished up in his earlier films- gore, gratuitous violence, revenge, greed, topical dialogue, sexual and racial tensions. It's presented in a way that again is a blend of his earlier influences; there are elements of the 'Grindhouse' style, the Asian (quickzoom) and those wide angle reservoir dog style shots. It seems that Tarantino has successfully balanced all of his influences into the one film with great results.
Christoph Waltz was outstanding as Dr King Schulz. Go Schulzy.
I gave it 5 Bills

Yeah it's a good copy, enjoy the film!
To the anti-pirates; I will probably pay to watch this film twice. It's a must see at the drive-in for mine.
So that would be 4 tickets x $18.50= $74= hollywood fatcats don't miss out.  :thumbsup

yep, just finished watching it. i think you summed up pretty well DCrane.
The movie moves a lot faster than death proof, which i really enjoyed, so you don't really notice the length of the film -2 3/4 hours. Even got a few laughs out of it.
i'd give it 4 1/2 bills,but we don't have a half one, so i'll round it up

Watched a movie last night called "Safety not guaranteed". Its about a group of 3 journalists who decide to investigate a guy for their Magazine who has placed a classified requesting a partner for time travel. The main Actors are Mark Duplass as "Kenneth"whom I remember as the cutthroat Dream Team guy in "The League" and Aubrey Plaza who plays "Darius" who is one of those chic's who is Super hot and cute as a button all at the same time.
Now I didn't know anything about this film before watching it and I was glad because this film meanders beautifully through various human emotions. Its funny, sad, Heart warming, goofy and just plain fun. Because of this, I won't reveal any more of the plot, but if you are into quirky & interesting films with great scripts like "The Big Lebowski" and "Punch Drunk Love" then this one will be for you. The dialogue in most scenes is exceptional and very well written.

I give it
