Certainly offering alot more up forward defensively than Nahas

Thought Matty played his role very well on Friday

I agree WP. He has far more size than Nahas too which means his tackles stick more often and he harder to push off the ball. Nahas body language as sub this season has been deplorable too. Was White playing Kings role or Nahas role though?

If he was playing Kings I'd just move him into Nahas' once King's back

I have mentioned this before but when we are relying on Matty White, Robby Nahas and Jakey King as our crumbing forwards we are in big trouble.
We must find a small forward capable of kicking a bag, and fleet of foot at ground level.
Look at Hawks, young Hill, PA young Neade.  They generate excitement and really trouble opposition defence.
We simply dont have this on our list.

You are correct we don't so until we do we go with what we have

And that means Kingy and one of either White or Nahas and for now based on Friday it is White by a long long way

From the HUNS's FOOTY BAROMETER

RICHMOND

INJURIES
Shane Tuck (rest) available
Sam Lonergan (hamstring) test
Jake King (soreness) test
Reece Conca (foot) test
Troy Chaplin (calf) TBC

ON THE BLOCK: Brad Helbig struggled in his first hitout for the season in Perth and was subbed off with just six disposals to his name, while his replacement Robin Nahas (three disposals) had little impact after coming on. Matt White kicked the go-ahead goal but could make way with several senior players ready to return, while Ricky Petterd might be nervous after going at just 50 per cent efficiency by foot (including four kick clangers). Nick Vlastuin showed plenty on debut and should get another chance, but captain Trent Cotchin hobbled off in the first half with an ankle injury. He starred in the last quarter but must pull up OK to face the Cats.

ON THE CUSP: Plenty. Steve Morris is available after serving his one-match suspension and Jake King (corked thigh) and Troy Chaplin (calf) are available, along with Shane Tuck who was rested and didn't play at any level on the weekend. The standout in Coburg's 25-point loss to Box Hill was Nathan Foley, who came on at quarter-time and looked a class above, picking up 21 disposals in his second game back after a long layoff following Achilles surgery. Could Damien Hardwick be tempted to start him as the sub against the Cats? Former Roo Aaron Edwards kicked five goals - making it 12 in two weeks - while Matt Dea (26 touches) is also pushing for a senior call-up.

AL PATON'S FORECAST: The Tigers were unlucky in Perth but now face the prospect of falling back into the pack with a 3-3 record unless they can stop the Cats' unbeaten run. They will have to create some history to do it - Richmond has lost its past eight matches against Geelong by an average of 65 points. Some big decisions looming at match committee.

the biggie that you miss is the lack of skill and smarts that the three lack.  people wonder why we keep on losing close games or suddenly drop away dramatically in form. look no further it is the simple fact we play far too many players who lack polish or have gaping basic deficiencies.

what a forward set up 3 talls of which one in mcguane lacks skill and vision along with three runts who get little ball and cant kick or buy themselves time and make poor decisions.
people blame the mids for poor delivery jeezus h Geez a lot of it is  a total lack of options. at times on sat we may as well have played statues with the lack of movement and cohesion from our forwards. but its not just sat night its most games.

lets play three talls forward its standard practice now days. we can debate and argue to our hearts content on who they should be and where and  how they should operate. but we need to change the rest of it.
we desperately need a sml who applies pressure on the opposition backs that player is king. we want a sml/med  who reads it well and can kick a goal shane edwards needs to spend more time forward and he needs to perform the sml forward role.
play a medium or rotate medium sized mids thru there. would like to see what petterd can offer forward and knights can spend more time there. and would definately be rotating deledio and martin thru there.

there is absolutely no need to play three substandard smls in the one forward line. it literally makes the set up two dimensional. make no mistake white king and nahas are battlers.

keep the hacks at coburg.

Kingy is hopefully he'll play this week.

Chaplin will be assessed through the week, as he bids to overcome a minor calf injury.

Morris of course is back from suspension.
