I'd hoped we wouldve beat the pies as they aren't playing that well and have some deficiencies in their game at the minute but we didn't take the opportunity when it was presented as so was the case last week. If there was ever a time to beat the filth it was early in the season with some major stars out or down on form. As of last week we had the win in our hands only to clumsily drop it in the last minute.

This game will answer many questions we all have about our group, the biggest and most important being have we matured? and are we resilient? or have we really improved? or learnt anything from last year?

This game is massive, if we win it puts us ahead of the ledger, it demands us respect, it makes a statement, it tells the footy world "We're made as hell & we're not going to take it anymore!"

I'm going to this game very nervous because, with our history in mind, there is the underlying fear of our pants getting pulled down again just when we thought the tide was turning.
There's been massive changes to our club, this time it's being done the right way. Gale and Hardwick have done an excellent job whilst in their respective positions but its time the player stood up and show all of us that things are very very different this year.

If we win this game I for one will know that we have really changed and we're ready to have a crack at finals footy.

The most interesting change with this game compared to our recent unsuccessful encounters with them is the venue - the MCG should suit us :shh

Maybe but it certainly suits the Cats too, they've won the odd Grand Final, Prelmin Final etc there over the last 5 years

We beat Carlton just and should have cleaned them up but we lost the plot and were unfit.

We beat the Dogs by the margin we should of and we played a full 4 qtr game.

We lost to the Pies, but again we went missing and lost the plot.

We should of beaten the Dockers but lost the plot throughout the game, poor skills, poor attitude and we did not play for each other.

We now play a side that plays completely the opposite of the way we play. We cannot commit to 4 qtrs of football consistently and come away with a win....the Cats have clawed their way back to wins through their level of experience and skill...We are not in the same league, the Pies showed us that.

Can we win..YEP, will we win??? Not unless 4 cat like qtrs of football is played by the entire team, for each other!!!!

True but we plat there more often and use our kicking game to find players in space on the wings more often. I also believe we are faster than they.  :)
