3 "locks" for the Top 8:-
Hawks, Swans, Cats
Tigers, Pies, Bombers and Freo becoming "locks" for the 8 in the next month.

Current status
1. Essendon 36 points 131%*
2. Freo 34 points 128%
3. Pies 32 points 108%*
4. Tigers 28 points 114%
5. Blues 24 points 116%*

6. Eagles 24 points 115%
7. Power 24 points 114%
8.  Crows 20 points 103%*
9. Suns 20 points 92%*
10. Norf 16 points 111%

* bye this weekend

Hawks vs Weagles
Port vs Sydney
Freo vs Nort
Tigers vs Bulldogs

Even though i prefer looking in blocks of 3-4 games it really is a Simple equation this weekend.
We win, and other results go by way of expectations and we go to 6th and actually have 2 games in hand vs Blues, Power, Eagles we have 3 games against Crows and Suns with 4 games up vs Nort.
% isn't for or against us although a big win would be a beautiful thing.
Bring it on Tigers.

I will say this. Our next month is no tougher than the Pies and right now they are playing no better than us.
If we could win our next 4 games, I'm calling that we will play finals and probably finish higher than 7th or 8th.

It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”

It would be wrist slashing stuff now if they don't carry on with the lead and win.
We have been good and need to win.
Being 2 games clear if crows and blues would be just the starting point for us....

The next four games are all winnable and we'll most likely go into each one of them as favourite. Hopefully Dimma and the boys remember it was this time last year that we fell away even with the draw opening up (narrow losses to North and of course the Suns) and this motivates them to make amends this year and not take any game for granted.

The TAB is no longer taking top 8 bets for Geelong, Hawthorn and Sydney. So the bookies have those three locked in.

For the rest ...
                        $
Fremantle      1.01
Essendon      1.04
Collingwood  1.12
Richmond      1.15
Carlton          1.85
West Coast   1.90
Adelaide        5.00
North Melb.   5.00
Gold Coast  21.00

https://www.tab.com.au/#!/vic/sports/betting/standard/AFL/AFL-Futures/2013-AFL-Premiership/Winner

You would read into that, that they think the top 7 including us are pretty much safe and it's now only a battle for 8th spot between the Blues and Eagles.

Another good result for us with the Eagles losing. We now can go two games clear on them as well if we win tomorrow night.

We're now up to 6th on the ladder and our percentage has jumped up to 119.4%.

Two games plus % clear of the Blues in ninth  ;D.

Haven't looked at the draw but if West Coast keep playing like they did Friday night they could pip Carlton for that 8th spot.
We also need to keep winning if we want to make the finals.

Next three weeks against teams below us on the ladder is a must to at least have a legitimate crack against some of the better sides in the last half dozen weeks of the season. :thumbsup

Yep Tucky, we've just to keep winning and everything else will take care of itself  :thumbsup.

With Carlton playing the Swans on the rebound at the SCG and the Eagles playing Essendon, we could go 3 games clear of those sides outside the Eight with a win over the Saints.

Does that make it a 12 point game?

Hopefully it makes it a 100 point flogging of the Saints  ;D

What a shame!  ;D

First time in a long time I was barracking hard for the Shinboner Spirit.  Seems there are 2 renegade tipsters in Boogie's Pick 4 comp that need to come down a peg or 2.   :whistle
