MATT WINDLEY'S PREDICTED LADDER: after round 20:

1. Hawthorn 18-4
2. Geelong 18-4
3. Fremantle 17-1-4
4. Sydney 16-1-5
5. Richmond 16-6
6. Collingwood 15-7
7. Port Adelaide 13-9
8. Essendon 13-9
--------
9. Carlton 10-12
10. West Coast 10-12
11. Brisbane Lions 10-12
12. North Melbourne 9-13
13. Adelaide 9-13
14. Gold Coast 9-13
15. Western Bulldogs 8-14
16. St Kilda 3-19
17. Melbourne 2-20
18. Greater Western Sydney 1-21

Which would mean ...

WEEK 1 FINALS:
Hawthorn v Sydney, MCG
Geelong v Fremantle, Etihad Stadium
Richmond v Essendon, MCG
Collingwood v Port Adelaide, MCG

WEEK 2 FINALS:
Loser of Haw v Syd // winner of Rich v Ess
Loser of Geel v Frem // winner of Coll v P.A

------------------------------------------------------

6. RICHMOND
52pts 116.2%

R21: Carlton, MCG
R22: Greater Western Sydney, Skoda Stadium
R23: Essendon, MCG

Matt says: Richmond is on the prowl and not yet out of contention for the top four. The Tigers will start favourite in their last three games. If they manage to go three from three then they will finish fourth if Sydney lose to both Geelong and Hawthorn. It's not the most unlikely scenario, and no doubt Tigers fans would already be eyeing off the possibility of a qualifying final against their bunnies the Hawks, but there's a lot of water to go under the bridge yet.

Tom harley, bruce and co were talking about the first week of finals and how it would look like . They had us playing port, then they said someone would have to play at etigad to which Tom said the lowest drawing crowd which would be us and port.

He then smugly said tge tigers supporters wouldnt be happy and hark up but if youve only made 2 finals in 25 years you take what your given.

:nope no no no Tom, we wont take what you or any other muppet suggests!
How would you like to take a turkeyslap from me and break your jaw? Huh pal?

i heard that too and wanted to punch his botoxed out face through the TV.

in all seriousness how can we avoid playing at etihad if that formula comes to fruition.

i cant see how it will work. Afl surely have a deal to play one game and i reckon we will get royally screwed.

As far as I understand it, there's no contractual obligation to have to have at least one final at Etihad. There would only be a game at Etihad if all four finals were in Melbourne. Given Freo's easy draw, it won't surprise me if they finish 2nd and get a home final in Perth.

We're up to 5th by the way :thumbsup.

That is how I understand it MT, and I remember the head of etigad saying something along those lines many months...
Its there if they want or need it

Still 5th . Go roos.

the only thing more embarrassing than not making the 8 is finishing 5th and then subsequently losing to the blues in week one.

I will be cheering on any team that helps ensure blues don't finish 8th. Go Dons finish 5th you guys deserve it.

We may well want to drop another game in the next 2 rounds in order to book a date with the Bombers in the first final....................

I just checked.  :banghead

Port will lose next week
The cheating scum will beat Essendrug.

Both will be on 48 points going into the final round.
I can't see port winning that game.

stuff you Richmond!  FFS had a chance to kill their year and stuffed it up!

Unacceptable!!!!

the thing is we will smash GWS and possibly beat Bombers thus putting us in 5th position.

Watch us play the scum.

A loss there would be as pathetic as finishing 9th.
