5. RICHMOND

52pts 114.6%
R22: Greater Western Sydney, Skoda Stadium
R23: Essendon, MCG

Matt Windley says:
Blew any chance it had of making the top four with its loss to Carlton. Given it will start as a raging favourite against both Greater Western Sydney and Essendon, Richmond is more than likely to finish fifth. Should the Tigers win, and win well, against the Bombers in Round 23 then it's possible they will meet them again in an elimination final the following week. That's assuming Port Adelaide get in at Carlton's expense. If the Blues manage to sneak in to the eight, then a rematch of last weekend could be in the offing which may make quite a few Tigers fans nervous. If the Tigers were to lose to the Bombers in Round 23 then they can theoretically fall to as low as eighth, but would realistically hold their spot in the top six based on the draws of teams around them.

:-\ don't think we deserve to be "raging favourites" against essendon

LOL.

Clearly the Eagles missed Caro's news about Essendon not going to play finals  :wallywink.

Back up to 5th with a percentage now up to 121.4  :thumbsup.

Brisbane now up to 10th level on 40 pts with Carlton.

9. Carlton      40    106.9
10. Brisbane  40      89.1
11. North      36    120.1
12. Adelaide   36    103.6
13. W.Coast   36     99.2

Next week:

Port Adelaide        vs    Carlton (9th)
Geelong               vs    Brisbane (10th)
West Coast (13th) vs   Adelaide (12th)
Collingwood           vs   North Melb. (11th)

Scenarios (assuming Essendon is kicked out):

Carlton - win and they are in.
Brisbane - need Carlton to lose and them to win.
North - need Carlton and Brisbane to lose and them to win.
Adelaide - need Carlton, Brisbane and North to lose and them to win plus make up 3% (roughly 10 goals?) on Carlton.
West Coast - need everyone above to lose with Carlton being flogged plus them flogging Adelaide ....... wishful thinking.

Big round this week for that 8th spot.

It will mainly depend on if Port can bounce back this weekend. Adelaide should be able to win over west coast.

I agree with you, how unfortunate it would be for those homeless sphincters to make it into 8th to play us, and to make it worse if we had to play them at etihad stadium  :banghead :banghead

Couldnt stand being near their feral supporters, smell like big foots di ck, burnt hair and cat pee stew  :chuck

Etihad is one of their many park benches they sleep on. More of a home game for them than for us.
Would have to be at the G.
Geelong v Fremantle at Etihad.

I heard on the radio today Chris Scott saying they don't mind having to play at Etihad.

Can someone tell me why Geelong have preference over the MCG? I've been hearing on the radio that if we have to play norf it will be at Etihad. Why is that when Geelong's home ground is Simmonds and they'll be playing an interstate team at that. Richmond v norf/bloos will also be the only game between two Melbourne sides. I can understand other times when it comes down to gate, ratings etc, but surely this wouldn't be the case when it's at the expense of teams whose home ground actually is the MCG and that it's not their prerogative to just use at will.
