Men,

I've played some GTA in my time but the storyline/mission stuff has never really interested me. I just like king hitting randoms on the street and stealing cars etc. Is this game good enough in that area for me to purchase? Would that keep me entertained? I haven't viewed any vids of this game or read anything as I'm usually only a sports gamer. Thoughts would be appreciated

Regards,
Dave

Even more so than the previous games. You can even hold up shops in this one.
I've only read a couple of reviews, but they say the world they have created is huge, you can basically do anything you want. Play golf or tennis, feel up strippers at a strip club and hijack planes etc.

I haven't even left the city yet. Tonight I've done one or two story missions. Spent the rest of the time at a strip club, playing tennis and levelling Franklin's shooting skills at the range  ;D

What platform wayno? Me and Yeahright are on PS3 and will form a gang once online launches October 1st.

If you love king hitting this game has upped it big time. The big hay makers knocking people out before they hit the ground is a thing of beauty. Went driving in the desert hitting as many deer as possible, huge map so kept me going for a while! :thumbsup

Fools and their money...

Grand Theft Auto V sets record as sales zoom past $1 billion

Grand Theft Auto V has set a sales record for entertainment products, passing the $1 billion sales mark after three days, its creator Take Two Interactive Inc said.

The latest instalment of GTA, a cultural phenomenon that has sparked a national debate on adult content and violence, received strong reviews and racked up $800 million in first-day sales alone, selling at a faster rate than any other video game, film or other entertainment product in history.
Yeah we're already going to vote for him mate, you don't need to keep selling it.....

Absolutely correct but I wonder if you understand what the word legitimate means.

These sort of games are anti-social at best.

At worst they are a plague on modern society IMHO.

Entirely subjective. Do you know what I consider a plague and detrimental to absolutely everything? Religion.
