Don't get me wrong mate, I want to go as hard for Adams as anyone else but the reality is we are very thin on what we have to offer unless we offer up one of our untouchables and that just isn't going to happen.

Jackson being classed as untouchable is disturbing.

White was the clubs most improved [according to the club awards]. Isnt this similar importance to the B&F? And yet he was allowed leave.

It is funny in a dark way that when one of our lesser players finally becomes decent (after only ten years), then he isnt considered too important to trade for the betterment of the list.

Bents your twisting it all up!! I'm not saying Jackson is completely untouchable but his recent B&F win makes it a hell of allot harder to push him out the door. The best possible scenario for the club would be Jackson asking us to leave like White did but there's a big difference between wanting to leave and being asked to leave......

It is obvious but unfortunately Lids didn't win the B&F this year and to be honest his form over the last two seasons has been well down on what we all believe he is capable of. If the club had balls we'd be offering up Lids for Pick 1 and Adams, that would be a shrewd move by the club and would show that we are a serious side.

Deledio is part of our premiership plan & we wont win one without him. You cant be serious JM ;D

Jackson deserved that B&F more than anyone at the club because he worked hard for it & his football was outstanding this year. his even working hard when he dont have the ball & takes some big hits for the team every year & dishes it out also. Think it will set a higher standard that the rest need to work harder otherwise what your saying is the people who give the votes know nothing about football.

As for Adams his not worth the $$$ people are talking about & has not set the football world on alert this year

The point remains Jackson is not vital (in comparison to chimp/lids, for example) and should be traded if the opportunity to improve the club arises

Ie. Jacko for Adams and a pick

Jackson will finish his career as a 1 club player, his got 2-3 years at most. His plays a role similar to Tuck protecting players, forcing stoppages & sneaking away from his opponants or forcing them to follow or vice versa. we need at least another 2 players like that now

I'm not disagreeing. Merely questioning if this is the best case for the list.

Adams is a similar type to tuck and Jackson. Significantly younger and perhaps an upgrade

It's not going to happen, move on.

I'm fine with it. But the rest of this thread is saying there is no one to trade for Adams in the age bracket gws want.

Spoose rfc will have to move on from interst in attaining adams

Unless we go back to the deledio/Adams hypothetical. Which is trulyrobbing peter to pay paul

l been looking at this Adams lad & see a more of a Cotchin type player the way he goes about his football & moves.
If any players must be traded you must look at S Edwards & Foley as they just dont give enough to the club. They never have & l cant understand why we have kept them so long. They are un-coachable now & much be pushed out for us to move forward. l just wish Dean McDonald would comeback & give AFL another go, cause he is super fit & l watched him injure 2 players from tackling which went off for the game after running one down over 30 metres & 1 had a 10 metre head start. That's how quick & strong he is. His body is 100% but he dont like the city. That's not sayin he will never change his mind but he is so talented. l would be going after this Adams guns blazing

The problem remains gws are unlikely to want Shane edwards or Foley. Where as they'd look at Jackson. Maybe even thrown in a pick.

No-one will look at Jackson after he said his mind was elsewhere last year & he was planning retirement.
