Here is a ten second thought of how we could land Reid-
Give our pick 11
We obviously have a little cap room if we are chancing Chapman and Adams, lets says its 300k
Also give them S. Edwards.
So they get pick 11 and a 25 year old, 129 game player that is best 22 of a finals side.
We get Reid, loose Edwards and his contract (300 to 350K)
Pay Reid 400k and have 200k to pay young kid who comes in.
Pretty simple even for conservative people at Tigerland.
Why would we want Reid?

Exactly, he's rubbish.

We dont need Reid. We only need one or two of our budding KPP players to come on and we wont have to over pay.  We needed a backup ruckman as per whats been said on this forum many namy times. Is Hansen the man? Well that is yet to be seen but I remember so many post about Maric like the ones bagging Hansen. I will wait and see.

Ahhh, cheers tigs, I wasn't sure how long this whole Circus ran for. I thought FA was done already. So is there still a trade period after the FA period finishes?
I think it works out to be a Monday for compo and they have till Friday to finish up trading. It's a marathon.  :lol

Sam Reid is very exciting kid, not great yet but has massive potential. He has shown he can more than play at the level and is still only 21. Has more ability than Astbury, Griffiths and Batchelor put together.
And that why we would want Reid.

What's wrong with Maric two dogs?...with a decent backup he can rest that troublesome groin that plagued him all year

Love Ivan.

Point being, get someone who can push for first ruck spot

if sam reid played for richmond, you'd all be bagging

1) his contract length
2) his crap kicking
3) his softness
4) his crepe paper body

and you'd be justified

then you'd bag him for stagnating and not being the number one KPF in the comp at age 21
