in the last 2 years Buckley has set up collingwood to be contenders for the next decade. last year grundy kennedy and broomstick or whatever his name was who is a good player and this year they have good picks again stuffing mongrels.
Broomhead whose done jack poo and Kennedy who to me looks too small, selfish and will struggle. McDonough is ahead of Broomhead at VFL and has already got a taste at AFL.

McDonough unfortunately is too slow for AFL at this stage of the proceedings. No where near the level required. Atleast Broomhead has some pace. Kennedy is a nice player who will definately make it at AFL level. Grundy has already shown he is more than capable.

Yes it appears the Pies are very good with their recruiting, but  I reckon people should take a look at an even more successful club, the hawks and their recruiting. I reckon we have mirrored them with our recruiting

Think you will find McDonough has the pace required at AFL level and given time will adjust to the pace of play. Smart and skilful player.

Still for the life of me trying to understand why the Eagles and Swans would think this is a good deal :huh3. Hinds must be laughing all the way to the draft table.

COLLINGWOOD:
IN: Pick 6, Jesse White
OUT: Pick 11 (WCE), Pick 31 (WCE), 49 (WCE)

Coll will have picks 6, 10

WEST COAST:
IN: Pick 11, 31, 49
OUT: Pick 6 (COLL), 44 (SYD)

WC will have picks 11, 28, 31, 49
and will attempt to negotiate with Brisbane for Elliott Yeo with pick 31.

SYDNEY
IN: Pick 44
OUT: Jesse White (COLL)

Syd will have picks 15, 35, 44, 53

Same coll have absolutely aced this, trading down 4 places for effectively a no 30 pick. Can't believe WC would do that, foolish beyond belief ::)

Don't BS us with this drivel, Mcdon is a mile ahead of broom head and Kennedy. His performances at vfl were first rate, couldn't force his way into a winning side . Will get more chances without white around

Agree, let's just hope we don't lose a Josh Kennedy type for peanuts.  :lol

Because they now have their pick for Yeo. THey were always going Sheed at pick 6 who no one else will take before 11 so they are getting Yeo for free effectively.

no gamble at all. They'll be well aware no one will take Sheed otherwise they wouldn't have done it.

Granted we did something similar with pick 8 and Polak and still got Jack at pick 13 but it's a massive risk. I rate Sheed. Imagine if the Pies took Sheed with pick 10 and shafted the Eagles.

Even forgetting the Eagles, the Swans have effectively given away Jesse White for near next to nothing given no one rates this draft after pick 30 or so.

The AFL Website is reporting that Collingwood and GWS have finally come to an agreement which will see a straight swap of Heath Shaw to GWS and Taylor Adams to the Magpies.

Can anyone find this on the AFL website?

It is being reported on channel 9 in Adelaide that David Mackay is believed to be wanting to move from the Adelaide Crows after being shopped around during the trade period.

RICHMOND

THE cue looks just about to be in the rack for the Tigers. Matt White signed at Alberton but Richmond secured Shaun Hampson for pick 32 and held onto Dusty Martin after his much-publicised contract negotiations.

DRAFT PICKS: 12, 50, 68

RICHMOND

Moved quickly to trade for Shaun Hampson from Carlton for its second round pick (now pick 32). Matt White left as a free agent to Port but Tigers got no compensation for that because of his age and the size of his contract. Robin Nahas yet to attract much interest.

Picks: 12, 50, 68, 86, 104

Collingwood will trade for Patrick Karnezis from Brisbane for a late pick - 49 or 67.
