Which they could have accepted 3 weeks ago and then had plenty of time to work out another trade  :wallywink.

They'll need a replacement for Crameri. McGuane for 26  ;D

Brisbane Lions and St Kilda shape as major factors on the final day of the trading period, with the Lions set to acquire premiership ruckman Trent West from Geelong

While the Saints will land Billy Longer from Brisbane.

St Kilda is also well placed to snare defender [/b]Josh Bruce[/b] from Greater Western Sydney.

Carlton is making a strong bid for Sydney's Andrejs Everitt, having offered him more money.

The Trade Period will finally finish up at 2pm today.

It would be nice if we are surprised by us doing something on the final day but I'd doubt it.

If the club only leaves us with pick 12 then its been a poor effort IMHO. They needed to try and get another pick between 15 and 20 and at the very least a 2nd round pick from somewhere else. Hampson and pick 12 at the end of this campaign would be a fail for mine. We are nowhere near ready to challenge for top 4 and that type of recruiting isnt good enough to get us up the ladder. We finished 7th.... people shouldnt forget that and 7th isnt good enough.

I'll be disappointed if we don't get back in to the 2nd round

That's the only way were going to find out if we failed or not this trade period!

Pick 12 Sam Docherty, Pick 5 Jared Polec and pick 7 Billy Longer are all going to net Brisbane a pick in the 20s.

For us to get a pick between 15-20 we'd have to give up one of our young guns. How else are we going to get that pick?

The only thing I can think of is pick 12 for St Kilda's pick 18 and 19, even then I think we'd need to throw in a player.

We have our first trade of the day and it is a very minor one. Gold Coast Suns exchanged round 3 pick (currently 43) to West Coast for its yet to be activated round 3 Suns compensation pick. This trade looks as if it's been made with an eye towards the 2014 draft from the Suns' perspective.

Smart trading From @WestCoastEagles. They started with picks 6, 28, 44 and now have 11, 31, 43, 49. Haven't lost a lot to gain Yeo.

I don't think we're even there today

considering that most of the people working in this area at the club are on 6 figure salaries and that we are paying them to do a job I think thats poor if they arent even there. Hundreds of thousands of dollars are being paid by the members  to these guys and all they wanted to do was get Hampson and they gave over a 2nd rounder for that. I think its a complete waste of money. Anyone can just go and pay over the odds to get someone like Hampson. We are paying these employees so they can do good deals not get Hampson and leave us in a crap draft position.

they are all probably down at a church somewhere praying the AFL gives us an easy draw coz if we get a difficult draw we wont make the 8 let alone challenge for the top 4.
