We mustn't rate the draft past the first round.  Not much point in getting a second rounder if we would take the same player we would get anyway with the third rounder.

Fair enough.  That's the club's assessment.  I like how they are firm in their strategy.

They swung a great deal getting a second rounder for Hampson. They were always gonna be winning from that point on.  :banghead

Paper work about to be lodged that will see Karnezis traded to @CollingwoodFC in a straight swap for Jackson Paine.

Not mucking around today, 2nd trade about to be lodged with Billy Longer & pick 48 to @stkildafc for picks 25 & 41.

@GWS_Giants twitter:

Giants will receive draft pick 48 from @stkildafc in exchange for Josh Bruce. More news to come soon.

Gumbleton to Freo for 55  :lol

If Bomber fans were unhappy about the Crameri deal, then they'll be furious over this one.  :lol

Trent West off to Brisbane for pick 41.

Back up ruckman to Leuenberger and replaces Longer.

Because we spent 1 whole year putting together the super deal to bring the great Shaun Hampster to the Tiges. Dont knock it! Do you know how much time and effort went into dishing off a second round pick for the Hampster. Some of our supporters dont understand how hard they work down at Tigerland. They couldnt sleep at night worried that they were gonna miss out on the Hampster. Sheesh. Youd think our supporters would understand we dont have enough time to work harder and do other deals for the club and lastly dont fret we have pick 12 and pick 98 or something. We will get superstars here!

Or because we think $300,000 a year for a 32 year old who played 7 games last year is a bit steep.

Rob Waters ‏@RobWaters10 - Andreas Everitt deal to Carlton stalled. Swans want second pick the Blues offerred third round.

30 mins to go.

If we were to do anything (which is unlikely) then it would be targeting one of Brisbane's six picks inside the first 35 --- 7, 22, 25, 28, 33, 34.
