One of the draft followers on SEN said the top 12 this year are quality but those picks around the 30s and beyond are really a "duck shoot". Most clubs want to be out of the draft by pick 40.

Poster 'rammbo' on BF claims there's some interest from us in Jake Kolodjashniji (twin brother of Kade) presumably with a late pick. He thinks however Brisbane could grab him before us with Leppitsch using his Richmond knowledge.

If we do end up with him, lets just hope we don't start putting names on jumpers.  ;D

So going by that we will only use Pick 12.

NO  ::)

All clubs must use 3 picks in the Nat draft, we will using our 3 picks

What the caller was saying was that the top dozen picks are top quality, later on in the draft it's going to be the luck of the draw and that of most clubs if they had a choice they'd be out of the draft by pick 40 but they don't have that choice

weve been left in a pretty poor draft position. gotta hope we get a good player at 12 and probably take 2 VFL types with the last two picks for depth. We could end up with zero from this trade and draft period if the number 12 pick doesnt work out.

Yes you can, al.

Having said that I don't think we'll be doing it.

------------------------------------------

By Oct 31, we'll have 4 spots on our senior list to fill:

In: Hampson

Out: Tuck (ret.), White (f.a.), McGuane, Derickx, Nahas

Presumably, Petterd will be promoted off the rookie list which will leave 3 spots to be filled via the National Draft - 12, 50 & 68.

Exactly = our 3 picks

is anyone keen to put up  a group of players they would like at each pick who should realistically be there when that pick happens.
im happy to start the ball rolling.  as we had pick 32 im going to include it.
the club has stated our first pick is going on a mid so i will stick with mids at 12.

12
mathew scharenburg 190/89 utility. most have him going top 3 and i wasnt going to mention him but if by some chance he does slip he is the player i most want.
blake acres, 188cm/84kg mid. would take him him if we had pick 5.
ben lennon 187/79 have been tossing up between him and sheed as my 3rd choice really like both. toss the coin.
dom sheed 183/82 this kid can really play its just that i think the first 3 have more upside atm.
marcus bontempelli 192/83 sort of come from the clouds again upside for me i can just see him play when hes 192/and 92kg. could well end up a very versatile player for us.

ah the traded pick dont mind trading it but wish we had got back into the draft some how near this pick. anyway if we had kept it id be looking at bolstering our tall stocks here.
32
cameron giles 195/95 kpd
darcy hourigan 191/92 kpf
darcy cameron 203/98 ruckman
tom vandeleur 191/89 def
mitchell harveey 195/97 kpf.

okay seeing as we are taking a mid at 12 theres a good chance we will look at a tall at pick 50 our actual second pick. so i will mix it up a bit.if dayle garlett is still there its here i would take him.

50
dayle garlett 181/77 mid
darcy cameron 203/98 ruck. some are saying the ruckmen will go late even the better ones so heres hoping.
nick robertson188/83 mid.
alex spencer 193/83 kpd
cameron conlon 198/97 kpf. this bloke is interesting looked like he could be anything till he did his knee.

with 64 i would be looking more  at mature age recruits  but theres a couple of small kids who may still be about who i would look at. kids first.

64
ben sokol 183/87 mid /for
nathan drummond 181/82 mid
dwayne wilson 178/75 mid/for

rory lobb 205/98 ruck  20 yo
mitch thorpe 194/94 25yo kpp
dave mirra, shane nelson, chris cain, mathew sully.

anyway i reckon thats realistic with a player from each pick being available when we have our turn.

I'd be tempted to look at Dan McStay.

Quality person with a thirst to learn.
