The stats don't lie lads he leads the way in many areas.

Check out his stats re Time Spent Hands on Hips (TSHOH's), contested ball observations (CBO's) and Futile non-ruck attempts (FNRA's)

Don't forget the without the footy stat (WTF factor).   Often confused with the could go a falafel stat (CGAF factor).

Tiger welcomes pressure to perform

Herald-Sun
21 June 2016

RICHMOND ruckman Shaun Hampson says the competition for the tap role at the Tigers has only enhanced his game.

Hampson has held his spot in the side this season with Ivan Maric — who had battled a back injury — spending time in the VFL as he looks to regain his.

It’s been said the former Blue has “flicked the switch” this season and while he can’t put his finger on why that is, saying it could be due to age or fitness, says the competition with Maric is a big part of it.

“I’m relatively happy (with my form), but I still think there is a lot of improvement in my game,” Hampson said.

“I am (enjoying the stability). Ivvy’s been playing really well, as he does, and that pressure’s always there which is probably even more incentive to keep playing well.
Other Stories

“He’s just such a great team man. It’s competitive at training, but I think it helps to improve the both of us.”

Hampson took the opportunity for a mini-break to Hepburn Springs over the bye and is feeling refreshed ahead of this weekend’s clash with Brisbane.

He said the Tigers went full tilt over the weekend to ensure they aren’t hampered by having a week off against a team that played.

“I don’t think it matters too much either way (whether you’ve played or had a bye),” he said.

“We still had a hard training session on the weekend that was game-like, so in our minds it’s like we played a game and we thought that was the best way to prepare for the weekend.”
