And if stats are your thing:-

Disposals: - Stef Martin 23, Hampson 6
Scoreboard:- Stef Martin 1.1, Hampson 0.0
Tackles:- Stef Martin 2, Hampson 1
Marks:- 4 each
Frees for - Stef Martin 3 Hampson 0
Frees against - Stef Martin 0 Hampson 1
Hitouts:- Stef Martin 21 Hampson 27

Same number of marks but Martin had 17 posessions?

paints a picture of Martin having a better workrate - as second efforts after ruck contest and /or around the ground?

Correct weight. Martin gut ran on the breaks and linked up. Got amongst it. Our boy isnt interested in that, only contesting marks that are kicked down the line.

Seriously Dooks
You don't watch the game
You mentioned in another topic to drop Hunt
He was one of our best yesterday
And what's more interesting teammates have confidence in giving him the ball
Fact !

Your problem is you have an extra vested intrest in seeing him succeed. You backed him in hard when he was first recruited. Thats why you choose to overrate him (to save face).

Oh and perhaps try getting to the game. I was there. You weren't.

I was there

Thought Martin easily won the ruck duel yesterday, simply becuae around the ground he superior by a long way. His workrate and 2nd nf efforts were excellent

Hampson doesnt help his cause when in the last line of derfence and we need him to spoil, the only spoling he does is his getting in the way of his teammates

Are you for real WP? Hammertime is awesome! Watch the replay closely!  He trains like a beast!
He runs through the banner! He taps the ball! He limps like a champ! He handballs out the back! He runs under the ball like no other! He spoils his teammates like an All Australian!  He even gets injured like an elite! FACT!
Go to the games!  :rollin

Martin had 23 touches and convincingly defeated Hampson around the ground. We effectively played one short with Hampson in the side
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

As Hampson taps the ball to the oppositions advantage, can't spoil marks in our back line and fails to kick goals from 10 cm out, they effectively have an extra player while we are playing one down, I'm calling it two short with Hampson in the side.

If nothing else gives it away then facing the wrong way when he gets a possession should make it obvious
