Players this hack cost us a chance at tonight:

Dayle Gartlett
George Hewett
Cameron Giles
Jay Kennedy-Harris
Jake Kolodjashnij
Riley Knight

Yep.....so glad we got Angus Graham Mk.II instead of any of them....

That's assuming that fine eyes would have chosen any of the afore mentioned

flawed logic

And yet you have failed to put any on the table

 Resign deickx long term?

Re-signing a dud for peanuts is better than trading a second round draft pick for one. He's effectively just a minor upgrade on Derrickx - we could've found that in the State Leagues.

This is all because we've basically written off Vickery as a ruckman, which is mistake IMO.

Fair point - assume nothing with FJ regarding picks after round one - least of all logic.

Hardwick happy with Hampson

December 11, 2013

“We felt with Ivan we were probably putting him in a situation where we were running him into the ground,” Hardwick said.

“We’re really looking forward to that combination grabbing the game by the scruff of the neck and to have ruck dominance throughout the whole period of a game.”

The flaw with your theory is as follows:

the club isn't seemingly giving Derickx and extended run in the senior side for 2014 as the second ruckman. Due to one can only assume lack of ability to play football to a high (enough) standard

Hampson had 6 possies (1k, 5h, 2 cp, 4up), 14 hitouts, 1 centre clearance and 1 rebound 50. What did we all think of his first game (well half-a-game) in Yellow & Black?

Did the job, can't read into it too much.

The big zero was there but I'm not sure he's "all there" if you know what I mean
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

So glad we missed a chance at grabbing Gartlett for this usesless great lump.

Even Melbourne's 18 y.o. rookie pick from Wagga, Max King looked better.
