That's fair WAT
"The money might have been better. But, at the end of the day, Richmond showed faith in me. It's only fair that now we're 18th on the ladder, I show the faith back in the club and do everything I can to put them in front. In the end, I'm stoked I made the decision to stay. I f***ing love this club”

I'm just glad that we didn't play the Blues because they would've easily beaten us last night.
How we could move the ball so smoothly in the first minutes to score and then be so clumsy for the rest of the game shows how easily we are spooked.
Once the GC scored those 4 early goals it was "Good Night Irene"
All isn't lost for the season but we had a shocker first up.
It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”

Agree, also think it's a coaching issue. When a team gets a run on, what do we do structurely to prevent it? Nothing. If you kicked 4 goals against Fremantle, Pavlich would go into the backline. If we kicked 4 goals against Geelong, Bartel would come into the middle. If we kicked 4 against Hawks, Roughead would come into the ruck and Hale down back.
Go Tigers!

That was woeful.
Second to the ball all night. How did GC have so many numbers at every contest? Is that our 'structure', our fitness or our hunger? Whatever it is, it's bloody concerning and needs to be rectified against Carlton.
Dusty was poo. Ellis poo. Morris poo. Chaplin played like Coach's opinion of him. He was awful. Almost as bad as TYrone and that is saying something.
Can't remember the last time Newman impacted a game.
Vlas, Thomas, Cotch, Lids can hold their heads high, the rest need to stuffing lift, that includes Dimma.

Yeah fair call, cotch and lids had heaps of disposals, but their usage was shockin and painstaking ineffective.

Every single game we've played against the Suns have been in QLD. I was worried the humidity would affect the players. Players were slipping over & failing to take clean grabs. I also noticed the Suns have a similar thing to us with the drums, although there's were like Budhhist monks and not actually on the ground welcoming the players. Good to see a lot of Tigers supporters. Didn't seem as many Suns supporters so you could be excused from thinking the roar from the crowd when they scored was just a recording. They don't even know their own team song & I think it only got played once at the end

reckon the real difference was our lack of polish. in the conditions they were so much cleaner than us.
i mean to say the game was set up for us they lose two players early in hot slippery conditions. they have probably their best two tall defenders on the sidelines in bock and thompson which makes riewoldts and vickerys games even more deplorable. they are without their best ruckman one of their better classier mids in bennell.
if i look at the stats they are lies. they tell me we won in most important areas thing is too few bolstered these areas in fact if it wasnt for a few it would have been a total thrashing clearly too much is still being left to too few.

that aside the other real concern was  our effectivness, it was deplorable. just too many who lack polish or too limited in what they can do.

Agree with all of that Claw.
Their outs were far more significant than ours.

We were outcoached, outplayed and outclassed - terrible night.  :facepalm  They knew exactly how to play the conditions - we did not. We fumbled, dropped marks and looked panicked throughout. Conversely, they were much more confident with the conditions.

They deconstructed our game plan beautifully, giving us no space to lead into, manning up and forcing us to kick long to a contest. They broke through our zone with pace and quick ball movement and had faith in their forwards to win the ball or at least lock the ball in their F50. Our backmen were continuously exposed one out from lack of pressure from our midfield and at the start of the game they were winning it out of the stoppages at will - a strength of ours usually.

I couldn't get over the amount of times these 4th year players were out bodying and beating our more experienced players in almost every one-on-one contest across the ground. We seemed slow and exhausted.

Worst Players imo
Vickery keep getting lead to the ball, giving away frees and dropping marks. He was well beaten on the night.
Foley offered absolutely nothing when he was brought into the game. He could have been the difference with fresh legs and them with none sub but he was invisible.
Petterd offered no run or as a target
Ellis, Conca & McDough were unsighted and beaten

Best Players imo
Cotchin by the legth of a country mile. Worked all night and ran his &^%$ off to try and create a target and generate drive.
Lids & Martin had cameos
Vlaustin was out best player early but was tagged as the game went on

I think we would have won this game if we played in Melbourne but the worrying trend for mine is how we just can't play in humid conditions and when the space is taken away from us we have no plan B. Thomas, Hampson and Griffiths did a reasonable job for their first game but unless we are playing on a larger ground I'm no sure we can play Vickery, Jack and Griffiths in the same forwardline. I would rather just the two and have more smaller targets that can lock it in.

We really missed King and Jackson for the spunk and poise they offer - can't believe I'm saying that. Our midfield looked ordinary too which I'm not sure was because of our ruck work, their midfielders or the conditions.

We looked all at sea and unless we turn it around quickly we will be listening to 'Da, Da, Da, Da, Da...We are the Navy Blues' after our next weeks game too  :banghead

Morris was injured early but never stopped trying.
