Well then, the plot thickens.

Supposedly,

Carlton are peed with Richmonds stubbornness in the yarran trade and are also under the belief (understanding?) there is friction with Lennon and Hardwick.

They have just about accepted that they wont get the first round pick for Yarran so are in Lennons ear to go into the PSD. They are using the impasse in Lennons contract and the Yarran trade negotiations as proof that Richmond are just pricks to deal with and he owes them nothing. They will be happy to take whatever Richmond is offering them and get Lennon for nothing

This is from a bloke who I know who is a forward scout for another club. He doesnt normally divulge to much ( unsure how much he actually does know) . He could be winding me up, but when I asked him if there was any truth to the Hardwick/Lennon story he said he didnt know.

Even if I did wouldn't be saying a word   ;D

But

 :nope

I've just been on Twitter and the comments on there are bewildering to say the least

Just think everyone is looking for something, anything so they can move on from this now stupidly drawn out saga

Should never have got to this point IMV

Blues target Tigers forward

Liam FitzGibbon
Herald-Sun
October 13, 2015

CARLTON could attempt to lure Richmond small forward Ben Lennon into the pre-season draft if his contact impasse continues.

The Blues prized first pick in the pre-season draft has them watching with interest if Adam Treloar’s trade saga with Collingwood drags on.

But realistically Treloar will eventually get to Collingwood despite GWS list manager Graeme Allan confirming on Tuesday bidding is open.

Richmond had hoped to have secured second-year mid-sized forward Lennon by now, stating that he is a required player.

He was a huge Carlton supporter growing up and they are desperate for more goalkicking options given their scoring malaise.

His manager Anthony McConville said Tuesday he was still negotiating in good faith with the Tigers about a new contract.

But the Blues interest would ramp up if they could secure him for free given a breakdown in talks.

I do know for a fact Lennon isn't happy with some things at Richmond but that doesn't mean he'll ship off after 2 years. Anyone who thinks it's all rosy are kidding themselves however
