Sam Lloyd has joined an elite goalkicking group at Richmond in the early part of his AFL playing career.

With 21 goals in 12 appearances this season, Lloyd now has a combined total of 44 from his 32 league games.

There are only three players during the Tigers’ history over the past quarter-century, who have scored more goals than Lloyd in their first 32 games – Matthew Richardson (87 goals), Mitch Morton (66) and Nathan Brown (60).

For mine I think Sam Lloyd has been pretty good. He is 'frisky' around goal, chases, plays tall and has some moxy.

He is a keeper for my money.

Opinions?

Definite keeper for me.

News lately was that RFC is holding off on giving him a new contract. I really hope they do and don't trade him. Like I said, best forward we've drafted since Riewoldt...

Agree. Has improved his fitness and is a touch faster having shed weight. One of the very few players that have improved since last year.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

Over the years, lots of players have stood out for one season.
Let's see him hold his current level for more than 5 minutes

In a disappointing season this bloke has been a real positive.

On track for a 40 goal season . Better than anything Vickery or Griffiths has dished up.

The goal he kicked on the weekend was Daicos like .

But it has been longer than 5 minutes. He has been our most improved player all year. He can at least kick a goal more often than most of his teammates.
