Impressive  :gotigers

One of a few that showed any interest in what was going

More solid build than what I was expecting too

But "don't elevate anyone from the rookie list"

He did everything well except that shank kick and the 2 missed shots on goal. I can see disposal being a huge issue for him

Yeah I agree, but if a rookie wants a spot in the seniors, he's going to put in the best effort he can in a praccy match to show his worth, while others have proven their value and don't need to exceed in a game like this.

I think he showed his value and can deliver more in the future.
As ad spaces say "Watch this space for more" kids gonna be pretty good I feel.

Miles makes his mark

February 17, 2014

Tough inside midfielder Anthony Miles made a strong claim for promotion from Richmond’s rookie list to the senior list with his impressive performance in last Friday night’s opening pre-season match against Melbourne at Etihad Stadium.

“The boys really helped me to get a few early touches and get into it, which was great.  That was really helpful and settled the nerves a bit,” Miles said.

“’Dimma’ has said that no-one’s a certainty come Round 1, so I’m just trying to put my best foot forward and, hopefully, snag a spot come Round 1.”

For players that have a fractured navicular in one foot it makes the job much easier!

Recall many Richmond supporters being quite impressed with Addam Maric after that pre-season victory over Geelong two years ago (cue the denials but it did happen), even moreso with Petterd after the victory over Essendon in Wangaratta last year.(of course no-one had any idea he was subsequently going to be moved to defence.) Contin & Jakobi being among others who looked the goods in pre-season appearances.

I agree.  We haven't had a thread about sacking the coach in 2014 and we're half way through February!
