Brett Anderson from Inside Football & Rohan Connolly were on SEN earlier today previewing the season and both have us finishing in the bottom half of the Eight (Anderson said 5th/6th). They said the loss of Maric for 8 weeks was a biggy so the recruiting of Hampson was a clever move by the Tigers. They both rate Miles based on his preseason so far and with the inclusion of Thomas, Rohan liked the fact that Richmond have further bolstered its midfield depth.

By the way, Brett Anderson is predicting Carlton to finish 13th  ;D.

all i know is 14 does not go into 8. reckon at least 14 of the sides realistically think they can make the 8 if things go well for them.

9 other captains have tipped us to make the Eight this year. Dusty got one vote to win the Brownlow but Cotch didn't  :huh.

Hawthorn, Sydney and Fremantle were tipped by every captain to finish in the top eight, along with Geelong (16 votes), Collingwood (12), West Coast (11), North Melbourne (9), Richmond (9), Essendon (7), Port Adelaide (7), Adelaide (2) and Carlton (2).

Collingwood skipper Scott Pendlebury was nominated as the most likely player to take out the Brownlow Medal with four votes, narrowly favoured ahead of Gold Coast's Gary Ablett and Adelaide's Patrick Dangerfield with three votes each. Nathan Fyfe, Dustin Martin, Sam Mitchell, Jarryd Roughead, Joel Selwood, Dane Swan and Jobe Watson were also named.

Just wanted to say before the season starts proper that you have to take your hat off to Hardwick and the whole football department who have turned this great club around. It has to be remembered that only a handful of years ago we were a rabble, in a short space of time the squad has been rebuilt from the ground up using clever targeted recruitment via trading and a number of compromised drafts. Testament to this is that now we have a squad where most of us are having trouble picking our best 22. Go Tigers!!!  :clapping

Yesterday on the bigpond website they had old content back to 2010/11 and to see where we have come from is amazing.  We had so many dud players on the list even back then

Yeah doubt it..... we're not Essendon or Melbourne......more likely all  the delusional "brightsiders" will still make excuses,  pretend eveything's still all hunky dory, abuse the realists for being "too negative" and tell them to "go support another club if they don't like it."

I'd like to see Peggy Sue get into a public war of words with Eddie....think about it....her being a woman, he'll only look like a bully & a scumbag(even moreso than usual).....and if he says anything that can be even remotely misinterpreted, the thought police will be all over him and after what happened last year with Goodes, the do-gooders may well finally force him to resign.

A win for all I say.
